Great review. I was wondering (and waiting for someone to compare) weather I should upgrade to the Poly Sync 40 for my home office. Nope! The 7200 will make me sound better. My Logitech Brio also remains at the top of home video office cameras.
Hi Brian! Thanks for sharing your feedback. My wife was waiting for Sync 40 as well to upgrade her Calisto 7200 but she believes the 7200 sounds better.
Am I the only one who feels Calisto 7200 beats Poly Sync 40 hands down on the mic quality. Be it the pickup range, or the echo cancellation and the ability to cancel the noise without converting the voice into robotic sound.
Hi @hashimjamalYT ! Thanks for sharing your feedback. I'm still on the fence however, my wife had the same observation. She was a Calisto 7200 user. I switched her to Sync 20 and she didn't like it. Switched her to Sync 40 and she still didn't think it sounded as good for voice/video calls. She now uses the Logitech Logi Dock and loves it.
Cani usethe Callisto for a hybrid meeting to pick up audio signals from the inperson workshop participants and tramsfer it to online participants in zoom ?
Hi Rahul, I need clarification and more information. The Calisto 7200 is a discontinued USB speakerphone that has been replaced by the Poly Sync 40. I need to know where the speakerphone will be connected. But yes, the Calisto can be used as an audio device for all major meeting platforms including Zoom, Teams, Webex, Google Meet, etc.
Were the mic tests done over Bluetooth? I think you would have gotten better microphone audio from both of these when connected by USB cable than over Bluetooth.
Hi thefreddit! Apologies for such a delayed response! I'm the only person who responds to viewer comments and making TH-cam videos is just a small part of my role. For the mic pick-up range, I am actually connected via USB cable to my laptop. I switch to Bluetooth connection when I wireless link two Sync 40's together per Poly User Guide instructions: IMPORTANT Linking mode is available with Bluetooth mobile device connection only. This feature is not available when your speakerphone is connected to a computer with USB cable.
