I’m Swedish and I know that the king didn’t decide that Victoria was next in line to the throne. That was the governments decision and the king has no political power. If you haven’t notice is Sweden not like Saudi Arabia. They are so bad at doing research hahahaha

The king said that it was not fair to displace his son as the heir way back in the day. It was the Swedish government that made a ruling of absolute primogeniture. He seems to be ok with it now though. I think it’s the right choice. Victoria has the temperament for the role and I think Carl Philip is better off and happier on his own. Princess Madeline has had her share of flaunting traffic and parking laws and hard partying but seems to have settled down with a man that truly loves and stands by her. She was THE most beautiful princess I have ever seen in her mid to late 20’s. I have to say I liked her best as a blonde though.
Princess Madeleine and Christpher ONeill moved to Florida in 2018 and they have 3 kids Princess Leonore, Prince Nicholas and Princess Adrienne. So some of your facts are wrong.

I didn´t know they lived in Florida. Then i think Madeleine should stop getting apanage from the swedish tax payers if she can´t handle the "job" as a representant for the country. If she want to be a slacker in the Florida sun instead, she need to "return" her princess title if she wanna live like ordinary people! And she can be lucky she have that possability, that´s not an option in most royal families. But the swedes shouldn´t give her a dime (or a single krona)

Princess Madeleine wins as my favorite modern day princess, by just a smidge, with Crown Princess Victoria coming in a very close second. What cemented Madeleine as my favorite Royal was when she pushed aside her personal feelings about being seen as a stereotypical Disney princess and threw one gorgeous princess themed tea party for sick little girls in her family's castle 😭😭 I have to fight back tears every time I see photos from Madeleine's princess tea party
As a legit royal fan, I wish people would stop watching these videos. They are so ill-informed. Like they don't even know the fact that Madeleine has three children and she did love in London for a while then moved to the US. And the worst part is that there are 31k that watch these and believe their bs.

Did you Swedes know that we Finns are really interested your royals. We love Victoria! She has visited here many times and we really think she will be great queen. She is like our princess we don't have. Even our tabloids are very interested of Estelle too. And Madeleine is most besutiful princess ever!
My aunt in Tampere told me, and she also told me that my looks was like Victorias when I was younger. But she must have had something wrong with her goggles. I visited my parents yesterday and they had a Finish magazine with Madeleine on the front page :) We swedes are generous so you can also have a piece of the royal cake ;)

I was a huge fan for the British Royal Family & I live in one one of the Overseas Realms & The Commonweath. I'm a Proud Royalist so as far as I'm concerned, that includes all the European Royal Houses as well. Two in particular that I follow is The Swedish Royal House (Bernadotte) & The Danish Royal House (Glücksburg). Although I have favourites within each Royal House, I hold all of the Royal Family with the utmost Respect, because its all of them who make their Royal Houses what they are. I have made extensive research of The House of Windsor & thouroughly enjoyed it. I have turned my attentions now to The House of Bernadotte & The House of Glücksburg. I'm sure I'll find both interesting & Enjoyable. Please keep the Videos Coming!
This video is filled with a number of incorrect assertions. The Swedish Monarch has ZERO political power - in fact the Swedish monarch is the least powerful monarch in all of Europe. Unlike other European Monarchs, the monarch of Sweden is not head of the armed forces, does not sign legislation, does not open parliament etc. The King had no say in the changes to the act of succession that made Crown Princess Victoria the heir retroactively over Prince Carl Philip. Rather than being progressive, it is has been none for years (as the King has spoken publicly about it) that he was not in favour of the change not because he was against women inheriting but because his son had been born the heir and he felt it shouldn't have been taken away form him. Though I think they should be thankful because Victoria has proved to be popular and the reason why the monarchy will survive beyond the current generation.

Making the movie Fargo, Peter Stormare who is Swedish was filming in northern plains area heavily settled with Scandinavians. He was astonished to see small local stores with pictures of the Swedish Royal Family in the windows. He said in his whole life in Sweden he had never seen that.

@@linnig4759 yes, her officiell titel is Princess Adrienne of Sweden, Duchess of Blekinge. Yes this is an ongoing debate here regarding that. Dont think it officiell how much money she gets but Madeleine still does some work as a Swedish princess

I read a book a time ago, so I do not remember the name of the book. It was a very good book about the life a French woman. She was the fiancé of Bonaparte Napoleon. Napoleon left the city where they lived and went to Paris, because his carrier went higher. He promised to her fiancé to visit her, but he forgot about her and he found a higher economical companionship in Paris. The girl decided to visit her fiancé in Paris. She found Napoleon in a palace, in this time in companionship with Josephine and another higher status people. The poor girl just stood there in the room and Napoleon and everybody were laughing about the poor simple girl. She was so unhappy and devastated that she wanted kill herself and she wanted jump that day in the evening in the river, Seine. But somebody grabbed her by her shoulder, and that was a very tall man, with big nose. the man was not handsome, but very kind, good hearted and intelligent. He talked to the girl. Anyhow later they got marry. Little bit later the Swedish Royal family invited her husband to be the Swedish king, because they had nobody to inherit the throne. So they went to Sweden. The Swedish Royal family really loved Bernadotte, and he were the king in Sweden. But they did not like the French modern girl. She told her husband that he should live in Sweden but she has to go back to French because this very old fashioned cold hearted Royal family can not stand her. So she went back to French, she survived the revolution outside Paris. She was from a noble family, but not so rich, so her life was in risk. Many years later she thought that here is the time to go to Sweden because the cold hearted old fashioned people died out from the Royal family. So the new, modern family accepted her and she could live with her husband and son. She had to leave her son with his father because her son should raised in the Royal family as the future king. So from this time she lived with her husband and son in the Swedish Royal family, and they loved them.
It's ironic because Desiree's son King Oscar I of Sweden married Josephine grand-daughter Josephine of Leuctenberg, who was the daughter of Eugene Beauharnais Duke of Leuctenberg and Augusta of Bavaria.

Madeleine is a quintessential beauty. These European royals are all beautiful and impressive people. Their parents did something right , even though Madelaine mentioned in an interview they were always away. Victoria is a take charge type of person. She apparently looked after her younger siblings.

Half the population wants nothing more than to remove the monarchy, while the other half would love to crack a cold one while discussing his wonderful hat choices and hockey games with him. Honestly, I love our 'Knug' (he misspelled the Swedish word for king, kung, due to dyslexia and no one will ever let it go.)
The Swedish royal family is not here to rule the country, but to be the face of our country, and I do think that they manage that very well. If you can ignore the gossip and overly critical people, that is. And videos with inaccurate information.
