Why the head pressure can? Based on the parting line blow-out, your metal was flowing faster than optimum speed. Probably washed the petrobond sand into the low silica aluminum casting. Based on witness marks in sand, you had to rework your cope and there was tearout at the top end on final mold that caused significant refinishing of the casting. Vents at the end of "flames" would have reduced some cosmetic issues.
@@ArtByAdrock Angle iron flanges will preserve your flasks and act as an initial flask weight. Your cope & drag were starting to float on molten aluminum.
That thing looked pretty damn cool just in the plastic, looks freakin awesome in the aluminum👍 You could probably make some good money selling these video game & movie weapons to cosplayers🤑
I would like to recommend a figurine or spear from an anime I have seen, called Jobless Reincarnation. The figurine is of Ridjure the Superd and it is his Spear I suggest you try to remake. Check it out and give it some thought, Please!

On this one I just didn’t want to burn up my flask so I just wanted to pour higher. I tired of making new ones 🤷🏻♂️

Nice pour. Seeing molten aluminum with a degree of red translucency about it is only second to copper.
You can make a tombstone out of copper, brass and aluminium. It would be interesting 😃😜😉
