Chris and Slash could do an entire album and it would rock.
Hell yes it would.
*SHOULD do an entire album… 😂
I’d buy the hell out of it.
Chris Robinson has still got it!!
And he just keeps getting better. So happy to see the Crowes thriving and Chris still singing and playing with a variety of musicians.
A Slash album full of blues and soul covers? Yessssssssssssss....
How good is this👐🏻
Крутого кавера
that would suit me all day, everyday!
One great thing I've noticed about these songs is that none of them are overdone. The pace, the vibe and the approach to each song has balanced and authentic feeling. Not too aggressive or overproduced. Instruments and vocals have all been perfect. It's a real pleasure to listen to.
This is a homage to the original its perfect
It is, it is!!
Find the right cover for Chris Robinson & there's no one better.
Well said! 👍🏽
Spot on, saw him doing Zeppelin with Page, immense show.
Respect for Hoyt Axton for writing this song, and for John Kaye and Steppenwolf for recording it and getting it on the air in 1968.
And 3 years later Hoyt would write “Joy To The World” which the Three Dog Night took the top of the charts. Fun fact, Hoyt’s mother (Mae Axton) in 1955, co-wrote “Heartbreak Hotel” which became Elvis Presley’s first hit (and first #1)😊
Hoyt Axton wrote this!?!, That's so cool, love it.
Wrote the words, but Steppenwolf arrangement is why people know this song
Wow!
@@ReelinInTheYears66 Didn't know he wrote this till just now! My mom woke me up for 4th grade, first day of school, to Joy To The World. I will never forget hearing, Jeremiah was a bullfrog!
As much of a fan of Miles Kennedy as I am, an entire album of Chris Robinson singing in front of Slash doesn't seem like a bad idea all of the sudden.😊
Nice one
The older ones can finde the groove quickly
I couldn't agree more!
A slash blues album is one of gods greatest gift to man👊👊
Nice cover, you never see anyone take on this song, it is so iconic. I saw Steppenwolf do this live in the early 70s at the Palace Theater in Waterbury, CT. They killed it, we were in the front, just to the left of John Kay, the entire place grew silent as he spit out the opening lyrics. Great stuff and glad Slash and Chris are helping keep it alive, one of the very best tunes of it era. 🎵🎸🎤🎶
Chris F**** Robinson!!!
Long live this powerful and wonderful voice!
And he still shines playing the harmonica! The Rock n Roll loves Chris!
One of my favorite Steppenwolf songs.
Yep me too ! With an other cover by Blind Melon 👍🏼 Have a good day
Fr
It's the opening song for Easy Rider. A 60's classic!!!
@@michelleneeds4165 yes we know. Performed by Steppenwolf.
My parent's raised me on this and were surprised when I was singing it at 5. But they laughed it off as they knew I didn't have a clue what it meant and let me continue on singing it.
Love Chris and the black crows but always love you Slash no mater what you do❤
Damn if this didn't give me chills. This is the best album of 2024. I will die on that hill.
Listen to „happiness bastards“ by the black crowes. This is a masterpiece. R
@@patrickessl5615 Didn't even know they'd released the album yet. I'd heard it was in the works. i"m going to listen to this with an adult beverage later. Thanks!!
@kwest5171 I'll have your back on that one. I'd go with best this decade.
Sooner rather than later.
Paul Daniel *Ace Frehley* invited Slash to perform at *Origins Vol III* in absence of Gary Moore...
I've always loved Chris and the Black Crowes. Great team up here with Slash and Chris. Two of my fav musicians. Never thought I'd hear them join forces. This track slaps.
I hope Slash does more albums like this where he gets guest singers for each song. Allows him to team up with a lot of different singers and get a lot of variety out of the music.
Chris singing in his inimitable style and tone. Luv hearing Slash interpretation of blues/rock classics. Badass tune to cover.
Oh my god...a masterpiece if you ask me!!! Fun fact: I´ve noticed Slash after a school trip. We renewed our television technique with a satellite-receiver. When I cam home after a school trip and i saw that new tv - believe me: the first thing I saw was "Paradise City" and I thought to myself: "DAMN, I REALLY WANT TO PLAY GUITAR THAT COOL!" Like ABBA said long ago: Thank you Slash for your music and for keepin´ Blues Rock and many other styles alive. #thisishowyoudoit #passionandsoul #guitaridol #slash #gibsonguitars
This could be a triple album and it still wouldn't be enough!
I said G*d damn, the pusher is SLASH! Do you understand? Slayed it!
For years I've been waiting for this collab, Chris suits Slash very naturally, love this!!
I remember this great old Steppenwolf song from the late 1960's. Great rendition by guitar genius Slash.
Now this is a killer song! One of the most underated songs in history.
So good it gives me chills...hair stands up on end! Can't believe this old tune is here again in 2024! 🎶🎸🤘
Epic Band
Slash and Chris Robinson
If this is not one of the best albums made of all time then something seriously wrong and you better look around damn the talent on this is pure magic all around ❤❤❤❤❤
Nothing sounds as fine as the harmonica.. Just a great job.
I'm almost 62 born in 62 and heard this song for the first time in 5th grade in 72 when our art teacher played it in class I've never forgotten the impression it made on me and hearing this rendition by Chris on vocals because I met him in San Antonio in 87 when they were on their promoting hemp tour and they asked me if I wanted to go w them to help promote it I just finished a joint w them and politely declined but long story short I love this rendition 😊
I still can't believe what an out of this world amazing job Chris Robinson did singing this song, that is how impressed I am with this sweet vibe!❤❤❤❤❤
I hope we get more of this from Slash. These tracks are too good. Everyone playing on this album did fantastic, and I want more.
Look, anyone who loves rock should go buy this. We need to bring this shit back. 👍
Right on! 🤘☮️✌️
What an album!! Absolute banger!! Credit where credit is due!! You are incredible !! Love it ! You have made me one happy woman !!
We need one of these every year. Great song and album
Chris and Slash...perfect bros!!
55 years. I love this song from its first day. It seems Slash created a "new" song . . perfekt!
Now then this has I,ve been waiting since the 70,s Thanks Slash.
I was 12 when this MONSTER came into the scene w/Appetitte with his old style guitar approach, but even improved . Since then, honestly speaking, he is the best guitar player and composer I have ever heard. I caught the guitar because of hearing him. Many thanks.
This is fucking sublime!!! Best cover I've ever heard of this track. Can't stop playing it.
? Who else covered it
@@troyrobinson7264 Blind Melon
@@ramytibi well that's ironic considering he died from a drug overdose
@@troyrobinson7264 indeed
One of my buddies used to be in a pretty popular local band who covered this and did it pretty good but not quite like this version
Damn Thank You Slash. And I have always loved this song. And some Slash and Chris Robinson.
Slash is the boss ❤🎸🎩
Since old Gary Moore left this life I'm missing a good soulfull blues album, Thanks Slash! I'm really enjoing it!❤
Beautiful words.. And I fully agree ❤
Blues were the key to unlocking the future of ALL genres of music. Sounds Awesome!
Great choice for vocalist. I was a junior in high school when this song came out. Harmonica solo an awesome touch. Tonal perfection on the guitar solo.
I didn’t see that coming, blown away!!🔥🔥🤯
I'm so happy Slash is still active rocking his Les Paul, what a legend 👏🏻
I love the way you play guitar before, now and ALWAYS 🎩🎸🎶🎵🎶🎵🔥❤️💋😎🤘
ABSOLUTE DEFINITELY CHILLLLLLS. This is AWESOME🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Steppenwolf headlined a show back in the early 70's in my local town of Monroe, La. The powers that be pulled the plug on the electricity during "The Pusher"
The real pushers pulled the plug you say?
Yeah back in those days in the buckles of the bible belt they didn't allow performers to take the "Lord's Name in Vain". @@davidsellers3639
My favorite song so far in this album! Cheers Slash 🍻
I'm glad to hear Chris do something worth while and one of the best songs on the album. Great chemistry between slash and Chris robinson
A great tribute to an iconic song that a lot of people have probably never heard, that Easy Rider sound track album introduced me to a lot of older bands I’d never have heard. Top of your game people.
And wonderful that they didn’t mess with it, when something’s right leave it be.
Yep, great soundtrack. Flow river, flow…
What a collaboration! Chris is back on point, and besides the nasty, grindy, unattainable late 80's GN'R sounds, Slash has the creamiest buttery smooth Rhythm playing these days, and those subtle blues licks that let's you know he's been hard at work honing his skills in The R&B department! Haven't heard a bad track off this album yet.
I didn't know that Steppenwolf was Canadian until about a month ago and I am 58.
Damn! Saw Steppenwolf live a few times in the 70s, and I do believe these guys got it right. Sounds like a good memory to me...
Love it!!! Amazing Chris and Slash!!
Can't wait to receive my album
I love me some Chris Robinson and Slash. I can't stop jammin to this album and I love the album cover art too.
That could be the most true-to-life first line in music history 😄
Sounds amazing....
Oh yes it does! I say god damn!
Very good Chris is the man!
This makes me want to get back into the studio with the fellas rock on!!! Slash the goat 🐐
I love both of them.
I'm very happy.
Did a bitta research and I knew I'd heard this before. Found it in my own record collection under Steppenwolf's 16 Greatest Hits. Chris, you're crushin it bro. Another great Slash blues track. One of the best albums this old man's heard in awhile.
thanks slash we needed this from your old school homie from fairfax high school the musical corner in the quad... hanging with willie kanadu and marcel what up Ash Hudson
got a ticket to the greek can not wait.........
So good man!!! Awesome song choice! All the best.
I lived through the sixties drug scene and this song let itbe known that there was a red line when it came to approaching hard drugs. Very powerful message .
God Damn that sounds awesome! Chris can still just kill it. And Slashes tone is freakin' cryin' beautiful.
Nah slash turns any one into a ROCK GOD
The Crowes played with Jimmy Page , nah
Lol uh Chris Robinson is a Rock God dear
See you soon in Tucson Slash!! July 2024🎉
I just heard today Slash playing songs from the new album along with other blues numbers in a live show from the LA Garage, interviewed by Shamekia Copeland. Good stuff, you can find it on SXM Bluesville.
Best birthday present
Alright, this was sick!!
MmmmmMmmmMmm🎉Tasty Blues with that modern tip, Slash is THE MAN!😎
Great cover of this song with Chris on vocals I'd expect nothing less. Also love the art work on the front cover reminds me of jj's painting from GOOD TIMES😊
This is the first Rocknroll song I’ve heard in 25 years… god damn!! So good!!!
Yes! This freaking rocks!
Hey rock stars, I already asked Steven Tyler, come by Eagle Point, a pre circa1680 civil war Plantation for a tour when you are by my way, inspiration for new lyrics. I will never get enough of this song, love you!❤
Tremendous take on the original. Great way to kickoff the record 👏
One song overshadows the new Crowes record in 7 minutes
Congrats! You are a great musician! ❤
'Serenity'❤
Niice version of my favorite Steppenwolf song.. Very cool.
Don't stop impressing peoples Slashhhh. Here From Indonesiaaaa❤
Another great one Slash! I always loved this song.
..best vocals on the album with Paul Rodgers a close 2nd
This is the best thing I’ve heard all year. I mean in 20 years. I mean well just Fuck it! It’s Bad Ass!
Geez, my favorite Steppenwolf tune! You all are killing this ageless tune…
Wow...just WOW !!
A true classic
This is the sexiest jazz music I have ever heard!❤
I always loved the groove to the Pusher. I finally have enough skill and was playing it on my acoustic yesterday. Can't wait to plug in my electric and groove to this version.
Love the whole album!! 🔥🤏😎
Beautiful playing
Masterpiece!!
On repeat…🎧
Nice cover, i was expecting more slash licks here
