Paul, that was so beautiful. I saw Jim Campilongo with Nels Cline about 7 yrs ago at a tiny club in NYC. Maybe 50 people there. One of my top 5 shows. I kept looking at the cord of his guitar because I couldn't understand how he squeezed this mind boggling range of sounds out of a Tele plugged directly into a Princeton Reverb. After the show I walked by him on my way home as he was getting into a cab. I mentioned that the show was phenomenal. He actually shut the door of the cab to walk over and say, "Wow, that was so kind! My name is Jim." I kind of laughed and said, "Yeah, I know".
Love this one from the Jim and Joe Show! It was actually Iggy Pop that turned me on to Astor Piazolla, he used to have a radio show on BBC Radio 6 on Sundays and had quite an eclectic taste it wasn''t all raucous rock n roll chaos, tho I love a lot of that too!!! Fun House is one of my favourite albums of all time. Anyway yeah weird place to discover such a beautiful piece of music, a lot of this was also featured from an awesome rotoscoped movie called Waking Life, is a weird film and Astor Piazollas achingly beautiful tango music really makes the film for me. Anyway enough of my rambling. All the best Paul! Cheers!!!
@@paulstaffordcook8799 Cool man! If you can't find the film anywhere at least the Official Soundtrack album is here on TH-cam, Ill see if I can post a link. Oh yeah if I didn't say before, then you play it very well too mate! Cheers!!!
