I have never heard such an easy and still so meaningful explanation of a retrograde planet. I am divinely blessed to come across you and then enroll in your course.
I think we must consider speed of the planet - for example a retro planet is about to slow down before getting direct. We should check its speed and than decide the impact of retrogression. For example I am born in mid June where Saturn and Jupiter both are retro but speed is currently at 0 and they are about to get direct. So naturally if someone was born in mid may the speed of Retro Saturn and Jupiter is quite high. This is going to make a big Impact. Also, I have seen many astrologers don't consider the one key concept of Parahsari - Isht phala and Kasht phala. If IP > KP I have found planets bring positive result during their transit and Dasha. So applying these concepts in Nadi I have found results vary. You may also consider testing them in various charts. For speed related things you may use Jagannath Hora saftware.

Sir your lecture gave me so much clarity. If I have understood correctly, then if in a chart there is a debilitated moon in 7th house and retrograde jupiter in 2nd house. Then, the debiliation will get a positive effect of jupiter as now the jupiter will behave as if it's in 1st house.

My Saturn both retrograde and debilitated in 2nd house with Kethu in 5th and Mars in 9th from it. Mercury retrograde and exalted in 7th house with Sun an Jupiter. Venus in 5th, Moon in 8th and Rahu in 12th from the Pisces ascendant. Saturn major period was not very troublesome but Mercury major gave me lots of difficulties.
