RaGiNgBaNaNa101 This person probably used an armor with evasion, which increases the amount of frames where you are safe from being hit mid dodge, meaning they are able to dodge at the exact right moment to not be hit. this is not a bug, this is timing.
From one dual blades user to another, nice. It's nice to see somebody else who isn't one of the stereotypical "just spam and it works" users. Your hit and run strat was on point. I myself usually use the draw slash dodge technique with a bit of glass cannon thrown in for good measure.

I know that you might have already learned of it, but that is a "Demon Dash." Demon Dashes are shorter yet quicker than a normal dodge and shorten your hitbox to let you dash beneath some attacks. They count as 1/2 of an actual dodge for blight calculations, so you would need to dash twice as much to remove Fireblight or Blastblight in contrast to normal dodging.

this kind of dash has been very popular in Monster Hunter G generation (only japan). they currently even have new set weapon called Tonfa (dual arm stick) dedicated only for MH Frontier G
He's using Mega Dash Juice, which is a consumable item that brings stamina to full and doesn't let it decrease at all for three minutes. He uses it to stay in Demon Mode 100% of the time. This way, he's never limited by stamina and can execute any animation he wants. Need to Demon Dodge through that crazy breakdance move? You've got the stamina for it no matter what. Not sure whether or not that's needed in this run, but I'm sure in some instances of DB Heroics soloing you need to dodge a hell of a lot more than the game would normally allow you to in order to survive.

he's even harder in Mh4U, the guild quest 140 version of him is faster than here, and they changed some of his patterns in 4th generation, and the dragon balls can no longer be body blocked by stygian in 4th gen.
The evade move of a Dual Blade user on Archdemon Mode is a sliding one and you won't get hit if your hit box isn't with the monster's hitbox during evasion. This is the basics of evading and definitely not a BUG.

Yes, it is possible. The 3DS version is the same as the wii U version. The only difference is that you can't hunt online with the 3DS.

... and the framerate. The framerate is barely optimized on the 3DS, so you get input lag frame drops.
