Both very crisp and full. Master 400 has obviously more base and seems a little more “nasal”. The Deluxe to my ear has good strong balance. Both are fantastic! Nice job playing between two very differently spaced string setups/nut widths! :)
I love how that Master 400 was clipping your mic pre amps. It is truly made to hold its own with a big band and no microphone. Amazing guitar. I guess that's why Ranger Doug stands by his statement that they are the best rhythm guitars ever made. I agree! :)
Love’em both. Ship them to me and I’ll store them for you over the winter!
Thanks, Andre. The Deluxe went on to its home in Japan. You’ll have to come here to play the 400. ;)
Very cool. Never heard one.
I'll take both, please! 😄 Both are such fabulous instruments! I can't resist a blonde archtop!
They're both amazing guitars - but wow that Master 400 - just wow.
The 17 3/8 inch is going to be brighter. That 19 inch is a true big band rhythm guitar. More bass.
They are true to that statement for sure.

Thanks, man. I agree. Both are just really great guitars. It was really great to get the opportunity to have them both in hand at the same time.

It absolutely was. It’s an absolute cannon.
