I really enjoy watching these ......brings back very fond memories of growing up in the 70s which IMO was a muchhhh better time than the 🌎 of today! Ty for uploading!
Two things going on here; The first is that Sonny & Cher the act, are at their peak, polished and razor-sharp - with nearly all the jokes containing 'in-jokes' that only Sonny & Cher and two or three other people get at this point, as Cher has already told Sonny the marriage is over. Look at Mr. Bono's weight.....Cher too. Sonny's nerves are fried, and Cher seems almost giddy, ready for her night off. First time I've ever seen this one....thanks for the upload.
Cher is so indescribably flat, she resembles a freshly rolled pave road. On letterman cher remarked, that the first time Sonny saw her in a swimming suit, he was taken aback by her flat carrier deck. I believe she stuffed on these TV shows.
When you watch this pair together, the answer is an unequivocal YES! They were magical together.
