For all the Christians out there, you should do “The Angel of the Lord” arguments as He is pre-incarnate Jesus. Before Jesus became flesh, He was The Angel of the Lord with full authority of God with Him. He was the One who blessed Abraham/Sarai with Isaac, was one of the “3 men” that came to Abraham. He was also the One that prevented Abraham from striking Isaac with the deathblow on the altar, the One who blessed Hagar with many descendants and named Ishmael, the One who wrestled with Jacob and named him Israel, and the One who appeared to Moses in the burning bush. I can go on and on, but Jesus’ isn’t only found in Genesis of the OT.

There were only one or two verses here that _maybe_ had any wiggle room of ambiguity. In the end, Sam's was the only reading that remained faithful to the text itself, throughout.
