Hey Tariq There is no bus service. A private car would be comfortable and easy to travel with children. Its best to get the car sorted through your hotel for more safety. The motorway exit for Khewra is Lilla/Pind Daddan Khan Exit, Junction 18. Its just at the start of the video you commented on. Make sure you leave Islamabad early in the day, as the mine is open from 0900 to 1600, and the last entry is usually around 1400 because of the massive size of the tunnel and then the inside routes. There is a British Pakistani TH-camr who covered his trip to Khewra with his cousins. Here is the link. By American standards it’s equivalent to a Freeway By European standards it’s a Motorway By Pakistani Ministry of Transport standards it’s a Motorway. Pakistan has got lots of motorways, this particular one is M2 which ranges from Lahore to Islamabad. The distance is almost 400km.
from Lahore to Islamabad 400 KM from Islamabad to Peshawar 200 KM all this from Lahore to Peshawar straight away 600 KM from this now newly built Hazara motorway from islamabad to Hazara another 100 KM and now we have from Fasilabad to Multan already built 250 KM & From Multan to Sakkaar sindh, under construction & Karachi to Hyderabad already done from Hyderabad to Sakhar later will developed this way from Karachi to Peshawar country will be connected all this same quality motorway meanwhile from Karachi to gawader 7 islamabad to Gilgat high class national highway already developed which not that much quality road when it compare to Motorway but way better then normal roads

There is Katas Raj Mandir complex not too far from Kalar Kahar. This is a millennium old ancient Mandir still active and being used by the worshipers.
