    59 YO with a decent competitive career back in the 80's and 90's and 41 years of training. Yet I have learned so much from watching your videos. Wish I had this info back when I competed. I happened to chance into a lot of what you're doing out of feel and learning, but still I've learned a lot.

    Have been trying to learn Mike’s techniques as of late. I can honestly say never in my life have a felt my triceps the way they feel as I’m typing this. Hard to explain the feeling but they are on fire and and won’t stop twitching. Thanks mike and please keep up the videos.

    Again. one your best-execution-wise and throwing proper shade. I've been a faithful subscriber for ~8 months or so-with amazing progress- and thought I was following your form tips as best I could. Lock on Lats and Rock! What I missed was don't fire from the hands... I really needed this one. Got a feeling it will reduce some occasional elbow pain as well. Thanks.

    Mike what’s your opinion on bar cable curls but instead of facing the pulley, having the cable between your legs so your looking away from the pulley? I feel with slight knee bend and leaning foward some I get a stretch when the bar is fully against leg starting the movement and it just hits better somehow. Of course this is if you can do it without the cable riding your nuts. To me it just feels better than the typical facing the pulley curl.

    Everyone always missing that mind muscle connection, like firing the right nerves and muscle in controlled movements. Coach Mike always deconstruct it in a super coherent manner which is then easy to replicate at the gym.

    • @trevorhaeberle4688
      @trevorhaeberle4688 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Part of that I think is guys are so stimd out. It fucks with your cns. I’ve heard other people talking about it, and it’s happened to me. I pop an extra 25mg of ephedrine thinking I’m going to go extra hard. But then when I’m training I can’t hit the muscle I’m trying to train, wtf! I thk it just fcks your your whole nervous system up.

    • @HolyTemplar669
      @HolyTemplar669 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@trevorhaeberle4688 yeah, also people usually focus on the wrong things... more about the "weight" I am hitting and less about what the movement / muscle should feel like, how engaged or not it is in the entire range of movement.

  • @jimmycarter7601

    This exactly... Unfortunately you have to explain it in this manner (and repeatedly) so more people can understand. For the most part people don't like to hear logically that they have been doing it incorrectly. If people would stop trying to justify why it can't work, and start trying to understand objectively...then they would use your methods so they would be able to do it more efficiently and grow.

    • @KenanTurkiye
      @KenanTurkiye 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      English is a second language for me so I'm no expert, but I am assuming that ''chicken arms'' means arms disproportionately (spelling?) so small to body mass that they look as ''weak as a chicken'', not referencing actually having arms like a chicken which they do not obviously.
      Btw chickens are dinasours, so let's not make fun of chickenasuarousi. :p
