It's honestly much better to watch it through in order since you have the same contestants for a whole season, you get to see how things build up with them overtime and that's the beauty of the show. That's just my opinion, so glad you decided to react!
yeah I 100% agree. I will admit, this is a harder reaction to watch where so much of the content is cut out. I would love to watch these random channel 4 British shows with someone else, but if most of it is cut out, it makes it somewhat less enjoyable. I still say give it another go FWCI
I appreciate that feedback Dubayou. I immediately realized that it would be more complicated to edit a reaction to because I need to try keep in, my reactions, the in studio segments, and the challenges, and that is a lot to keep track of while still trying to meet the copyright requirements. With that being said, I could have done a better job with this one. I literally just edited it like I would a movie, and keep in the parts where I verbally comment. Would you say in future try and do a better job keeping enough of the game show structure so you can more easily follow the flow of the episode? Even if I'm not laughing or commenting, still slice in more of the show and each contestants challenge attempts
@@AdamfromFWCI As many others have said, it's best to just progress through the episodes in order. I think this episode was edited just fine. Most people watching these reactions will already have seen the show, and already know what's coming.
In terms of what you said about it being awkward at the end, yeah I agree but like any comedy show TM eventually figures out what works and what doesn't and it begins to flow better. S2 is already a decent step up imo
The whole season has the same cast, so you get to know them as the episodes go on. I'd recommend just picking a season and cracking on with it. If you'd prefer a different cast, go for it. But I'd definitely recommend just sticking with it for the next episode.
So many great moments right from the start. Seasons 4 & 5 are probably the strongest and most accessible to newcomers. Series 7 and 9 widely considered to be very strong. But some of us think the whole lot is epic. Enjoy!
Worth mentioning that there are now many international versions of Taskmaster, and the New Zealand and Australia versions have been very well received. In particular, the manic energy from David Correos in NZ Season 2 is pretty epic.
It's not a scripted show, but it's still best to approach it almost as a sitcom. Full episodes, in order. Maybe skip S1 initially, though do return to it later. It has a bit of "early installment weirdness" as they find their feet, but it's still excellent.
Chronologically works best with Taskmaster, some episodes are definitely funnier than others, but it's best to watch it all because sometimes there's ongoing jokes because of something someone did or said
Well........ you created a monster........ I had heard of this show but wasnt too interested, Gave your reaction a go, now im on season 2 on my own. Super fun show!
Prolly watch episode 2 of season 1 if you're looking for suggestions. Taskmaster NZ is my favorite, just sit and binge watch season 2, since it's the best of them. Taskmaster Finland is also brilliant, especially the assistant Pilvi. The translations/closed caption for Taskmaster Finland are _really_ good; the person who did it really put in some effort to make sure English speakers understood what was going on. Taskmaster Norway and Taskmaster Sweden are good as well. Taskmaster Spain doesn't look very good, but it's hard to tell because the translation is abysmal.
Someone else said it, but I do have to reiterate; the best way to watch this show is to watch one whole season. There's a new cast with each season (5 episodes for this first season, as well as 2 and 3, then up to 8 episodes in seasons 4 and 5, and finally 10 episodes for every other season.) As others have said, season 1 is by far the worst, as the show was still finding its footing, and even the main dynamic of Greg and Alex hasn't been established yet. Personally, I would recommend watching through the entirety of season 1 to get a base line for how much you like the format, then picking any season from 4 onwards for the best idea of how much you like the actual show itself. I love Taskmaster, personally. I've watched every season except for the one airing right now, 15, and can hardly pick a favourite. Whether you know the cast at the start is irrelevant, because as the episodes go on you develop an attachment to them like you've been watching them for years. That said, I hope you enjoy your time watching!
If you have time, I’d recommend just watching the whole thing, rather than individual episodes. Also, Frank Skinner had a duo with David Baddiel, Baddiel and Skinner. They did the England song 3 Lions in 1996. You’ll love Taskmaster, it’s fantastic. They’re currently showing the 15th series in the UK
I can't believe you hadn't done this show yet! Is the show that got me into British comedy a few years ago and still my favorite. Definitely keep doing full episodes, and the Australia one is excellent, but it would be best to watch a bunch of the original UK version first.
I also hate the consistency/texture of fruit but love the smell/taste of most of them. Bananas must have the worst consistency to taste deficit of all food! 😂
i’d recommend just watching it chronologically. however if you want to just jump ahead to when the show really finds its footing, i’d recommend season 4
Agree with the others, defs recommend doing 1 whole season at least as it has the same comedians and you get to know them and excited to see what ‘so and so’ does. Love that you did this one. I’m an Aussie as well and the UK one is the best one
Everyone cracks up when Romesh mashes that watermelon 😂 I hear that most taskmaster UK videos are blocked in Australia. So i know your options are limited (also copyright issues 😉) So youre gonna need a VPN and you probably wont be able to upload a reaction but the show is really good. I think its helpful to watch and entire series to get an idea of the cast and the tasks.
If you got told not to worry about the Australian version, you got told wrong - it's brilliant. They were right about the US one though, avoid that. New Zealand's version is also well worth a watch.
Idk about particular episodes but i could recommend particular top tier seasons/series. Do series 2, then skip to series 7, then series 11 and 12. Then personally I'd be interested in a reaction to the AU Taskmaster.
There only 6 in the first series then 10 in the rest, you have New year's special, Champion of Champions. Frank Skinner's comedy partner is in a later series.
please dont watch episodes in random order. watch from episode 1 onwards, it will make it make sense and you will get the most enjoyment out of the show too
Who told you not to watch Taskmaster Australia? maybe not as your first series perhaps, but it is really funny and on par with the best seasons of UK. Infact you might like Australia better due to how much more lighthearted it is than the UK version, though still can get a bit mean Also THE BEST EPISODE of taskmaster is probably from Taskmaster New Zealand... NEVER watch TM US it was not good, a fan made version was better spirit even though it had bad audio for the "studio" section.
the first episode of season two sets a high bar. You'd get how the live studio segment enhances the whole show. It also contains the funniest segment of all 15 series. The famous (infamous) potatogate.
Love this show! I think the compilations miss a lot of context and the post task interactions which are some of the highlights of the show. I would say watch all eps each season has a unique mix of characters and abilities.
@@AdamfromFWCI If you want something shorter than a full episode, the "full task" clips are really the only ones which work out of context. All the other clips and compilations are really only for established fans to revisit their favourite moments.

Just watch it in order. Really. There are better and worse series/seasons, of course,, but they're all good enough to be fully worth watching, and then you can see how the show grows. DEFINITELY watch in episode order within each series. Always. THEN after you see it all you can watch some of the International versions.
