For every artist who started out with Uptown or Bad Boy , the only ones who have had career longevity are the ones who got away from Diddy the second their contract was up. Everyone else has either found religion, faded into obscurity, or gotten killed, period. Diddy has destroyed way more careers than he’s made.
Diddy never cares about these artists. That’s been proven as of late. So sad that these artists are not valued ever for their talent period. It’s about business not music.
Its sad when labels wanna shelf their artists' work and/or give way more attention to other artists on their roster. This is exactly what happened to Desiinger when he signed to Kanye's label. Nowadays, if your music is hot, dont sign your rights away. Keep your publishing and work the music yourself!
