      Sure but that doesnt make up for what the Book of Boba Fett has been doing for Boba Fett. Think about the scene in EP5 when Boba Fett walks straight up to Darth Vader, the most feared person in the entire galaxy, and straight out demands that he cant kill Han Solo. No other being in the entire galaxy would 1) have the guts to do such thing and 2) have the credibility and reputation to get out of that encounter alive. But what happens? Darth even guarantees compensation for any mishaps which tells you what a bad ass Boba Fett is... or rather was... Imagine that guy and ask yourself; do you think THAT version of Boba Fett would ever sit on a land speeder with the most stupid grin on his face, air-galloping with his hand like an insane person while going "LIKE A BANTHA.. YES???"....

    @Nathreim1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +31

    I bet BK was not hired to kill Boba but beat him up. They had to respond to Fett's disrespect but they don't want to throw away a potential partner later down the line. So they tell the Pikes they are leaving and give Boba the Rancor as an apology so both sides are still willing to deal with them no matter who wins the war.
    Either way the Pikes will likely get weakened significantly leaving the Hutts more room to capitalize on the underworld of the galaxy. Best case scenario for the Hutt is Boba and the Pikes destroy each other and the Hutts can move in uncontested.

Rememebr when the Syndicate spoke about the train being needed to keep away from these savages? It's because we didn't see what these nice tusken did to others before Boba came in. They had another alien tied up before Boba showed up and didn't care when that monster in the desert killed that red greedo. Instead they took the head and celebrated. Real sympathetic. ~25000 years before the battle of Yavin Tattooine was under the control of an alien species, called the Rakata. By this time, Tattooine was a tropical planet full of water and jungles.
    Long story short, the ancestors of the Tusken (and Jawas!) were a slave species to those Rakata. The Rakata at one point history started losing their powers (which came from the dark side of the force and they somehow lost this connection), leading to a planetwide uprising of those ancestors.
    The Rakata were pretty pissed by that and decided to bomb Tattooine into oblivion, literally turning the planet into a glassy wasteland.
    A few millenia passed, some stuff happened, and the Jawas on the one hand and the Tusken on the other evolved from that slave species.
    This is pretty much it.

    It's a bit of stretch to make it sound like such a stretch that the silly scooter gang would fight for Boba. It's not depicted as them being willing to risk their lives for him because he did them a quick favor - it's because he hired them and they now need to do their job.

      It's completely stupid. As the guy said earlier, nobody respect Boba and these kids are basically bums who steal water just to survive. But because one little girl explained how they didn't have work, Boba though she "had guts" (?) and got them to join him. Just like that. No conflict or anything. Boba fett was CJ and those kids were other Grove street bangers and he just recruited them like nothing and now keep them at his home. Not knowing if they're loyal or trustworthy to keep. Boba is asking to die but plot armor won't allow it. I bet you hell just keep going back to his pod over and over again.

    The whole thing about Tattooine being covered in water MIGHT be a reference to the Rakatan Infinite Empire, which was introduced in Knights of the Old Republic and became part of the legends timeline. Which also had its own explanation for how Tatooine became a desert.
    I don’t recall if they specifically said that it was covered in water, but the old timeline ran with the idea that Tatooine was once a lot more hospitable. Then it got taken over by the Rakatan Infinite Empire who enslaved and subjugated its species. Unsurprisingly they weren’t too happy about being enslaved and fought back, actually managing to drive out the Rakatans. So in retaliation the Rakatans bombed the crap out of the planet destroying its ecosystems and leaving very little remaining, which eventually became the famous desert. The Jawas and Tusken Raiders are descended from the native species that rebelled.
    At least, that’s what immediately came to mind when that line came up. Whether they actually use that explanation is hard to say for sure.

      @@Jake-xs9dr There's a lot of material to explore there that hasn't been touched on in either timeline. We have a general timeline of events for the Infinite Empire and stories of its remnants being encountered (i.e. Knights of the Old Republic) but as far as I'm aware we don't really have any stories that actually take place during that time, or even before it.
      Now I'm wondering if a story set during the Rakatan Empire might have some interesting potential for a TV series or video game.

    No media before or since KOTOR has tried to make the Tuskens seem reasonable. Mandalorian is the first to do so on screen, and now Book of Boba has further explored them. I never used to care about the Tuskens, they were always just a background problem, but Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett have really made them actually PEOPLE.

    Long before the Republic ever existed, the Rakata Base-Delta-Zeroed a water-world Tatooine after the ancestors of the Jawas and Sand People revolted and threw the Rakata off planet - boiling off all the surface water and turning Tatooine's surface to glass. Over millenia, the glass was ground to sand.

    Legends material had Tatooine being a water world. The Ancient Rakatan Empire (Guys that built the Star Forge for KOTOR) glassed the planet, turning the whole thing into sand. The natives devolved into two species, the Jawas and the Tuskens. This was covered one of the Dawn of the Jedi comic series IIRC.
