The guy at 29:38 beat Malenia solo, no armor, no summons, with his fucking *mouth*
For those interested in another way to save runes upon death, other than spending them, there are instances in the game where you can get something called a sacrificial twig, which you can equip in the talisman slot. You lose THIS upon death instead of runes (one time use only). Handy before and after big boss fights.
Even better, there's a crystal tear (Twiggy Cracked Tear) that has the same effect as the sacrificial twig and can be used in the flask of Wondrous Physick. Infinitely reusable, although it only lasts 3 minutes and then you have to recharge it at a site of grace, so time it wisely.

I won’t lie that jumping puzzle that dude lost all the runes to had me pretty heated too. I died to that more than I did to the godskin duo lol

because the game creators wanted to just watch you suffer as you try to get down there
They wanted to give you a challenge. Getting down there isn't hard once you get used to it. Elden Ring isn't the first game where you have to think about what you need to do before you do it.
Especially when it first came out and got updated, it had so many problems, especially for the PS4 version. The horse that you ride on couldn’t function properly, new weapons and outfits weren’t in any treasure chests, keys that you need to unlock levels did not exist, upgrading your character’s stats, weapons, and stuff each cost so much.
Must I remind you, I paid $60 for the PS4 version because I didn’t have a PS5. Months later after everything got updated, I updated the PS4 version game into the PS5 version and guess how much THAT cost? Another $60 instead of showing them proof that I already purchased this game, AKA not giving me a discount or something. So $120 I paid for problems and updates, and somehow this won Game Of The Year and beat God of War: Ragnarok?
I thought the voting pole got rigged or something because I was laughing in disbelief because of how ridiculous the programming of this game was. So my book, God of War: Ragnarok is the Game Of The Year till this day, not Elden Ring. I love Miyazaki and his ideas, but screw the game creators that made this game function like this

So about Malenias kick. In phase 2, malenia has 2 kicks. 1 is a running kick that extends into a combo. She is always in motion with this kick and that's what killed the streamer. The second kick, and the one he thought he was punishing, is a counter kick. She does it stationary as a counter and when it ends she just stares at you for a second giving time for a hit. The stationary counter kick also is never followed up with anything it's one of her safest and most common openings in phase 2.
This is not true at all. The double slice finisher that killed the guy is a combo ender she can do at the end of almost all of her attacks. It triggers based on proximitty of the player to her after an attack is finished. If the player is close she follows up with the double slice.

I've got 500 hours played in this game it's an absolute masterpiece of game design

One advice. Armor doesnt mean much. Vigor is all that matter.
If you beated Radahn, you can buy his armor. Its very good.
But like i said. It doesnt mean much, every boss can one shot you.

It’s sad that people get so excited about using broken nonsensical builds. You aren’t good at the game for doing that. Being good at the game is using random balanced weapons and creating your own build, keeping your health low, not using summons. The games pretty damn easy as it is but still. There are a lot of people that without their crutches really aren’t very good lol.
using whatever is available to you in the came is not a "crutch" it's a feature. restricting yourself does not make you better, it's a single player game. if these builds were truly broken then they would've been nerfed
