For those wondering why Rengoku didn't awaken a demon slayer mark in this battle despite probably fulfilling all the conditions, it's because Tanjiro hasn't awaken his mark at this point. A sun breathing user has to awaken it first before other demon slayers can awaken theirs through some kind of resonance, as stated in season 4.
@@bhanukashyap1115 Akaza wasn't even serious in his fight with Rengoku, he could've he easily killed him in the spot, he just wanted him to become a demon. One single leg technique from Akaza and rengoku would've been flattend, but Akaza didn't even use any leg technique.

@@artasecond3597Demon Slayer mark has to be first unlock by a sun breathing user first, only after that others close to him can unlock it . Otherwise Rengoku might have unlocked his during fighting Akaza. But then also it's almost impossible to kill Akaza for a single hashira even if he have demon Slayer mark unlocked
