- Hello everyone! In this video I will show you how to fix the paper jam at the exit, caused by the spring of the paper sensor in the fuser unit FK-1150.
This is a common problem with all printers using this fuser unit. It is a five minute fix. Easy and no service parts needed. The spring must be stretched.
Thats it.
Here are the printer models affected by this problem:
ECOSYS P2235dn, ECOSYS P2040dn, ECOSYS M2135dn, ECOSYS M2635dn, ECOSYS M2735dw, ECOSYS M2040dn, ECOSYS M2540dn, ECOSYS M2640idw, ECOSYS M2235dn, ECOSYS P2335d, ECOSYS P2335dn.

Hello and thank you for your VERY INFORMATIVE videos. If you call support, they will tell you to put the machine in "Quiet Mode" which basically just slows the machine and keeps the arm that the spring holds down from bouncing. I would like to add that another POSSIBLE cause for the error that you are addressing is a dirty lens where the arm drops down and breaks the lens contact. I discovered this after fixing the spring as per your video. I continued getting the 4211 error. This printer had a toner leak and it got all through out the machine. I simply cleaned the toner film off the ejector sensor and the printer started functioning normal.

Can someone please point out where the lens is. Or where is the ejector sensor I have to clean. I keep getting a paper jam even after streching the spring. Thanks

Пичове, конкретно с тея киосери, задръстването въобще не идва от екзит сензора. Вътре тефлоновата подложка, която има смазка в изпичащото платно се прецаква, което води до блокиране на изпичащото платно (не се върти). Тоя проблем възниква масово на притнтери с пробек от 30 до 60к копия. Отваряте печката, махате платената подложка, мажете със змазка за печки на HP и принтера изкарва още ~ 100к копия.

How would you know that the issue is the exit sensor spring and not something else that is the problem? as usually all my P2040dn paperjams probems were solved with replacing the fuser heat towel and oiling it usually fixes my issue.
It is important to determine exactly where the paper stops. If it stops every time right after the sensor passes, as shown in the video - then the problem is in the sensor.
When there is a problem with the fuser heat towel, the sheet gets stuck in different places, and the image is blurred.

Thank you for your video. Unfortunately, fixing the spring didn't solve the problem for me. I bought a new Fuser-Kit and changed it, but I'm still getting errorcode 6600. Hotline told me, maybe there is a defect sensor. Do you have an idea how to fix the 6600-error (new Fuserkit installed!)?
May be some mechanical problem. 6600 is fuser not rotating error.

If the problem is in the gears that rotate the fuser, changing it will not help.
Ok. Do you have an idea how to check the gears? Just by looking at them and trying to rotate them calmly with a screwdriver I didnt saw an error.

Great video. I just had a crazy time trying to put the rod back in with the spring. I could not work out how it goes in. Eventually the left side snapped after I try about 20 times. Do you have any close up pictures of how the spring is sitting? Damn i should have taken some pictures.
