Apple is a genius company. The world will not change without anyone initiating change. Apple has now removed the headphone jack, to make space for a bigger battery, and a better processor. They also have space for an incredibly good camera. Wireless headphones will be the future, Apple is just one step ahead of poor consumers. They had to take the step, because noone else would have done it. This is how technology progresses, and it is how it has been done countless times before.
Yeah it was the same when Apple revealed iPod touch - "who the fuck needs an iPhone that plays music and doesn't take calls?". Then everyone was laughing when Apple revealed iPad - "HAHA that's just ipod touch on steroids, who the hell needs that?". Well, several years later: ipod touch still has demand and I even owned one. Ipad is ubiquitous in the homes of different people and now businesses. Apple truly has been ahead of the game for a while and they do know what they are doing.
I agree with you except on this occasion Apple have been premature bringing in such radical changes. The vast majority of people still use plug-in headphones and prefer attaching their devices to download/upload, for example. The new MBP would be fine if we all enjoyed the kind of broadband speeds they have in Cupertino but, again, the vast majority do not. Too much too soon.
Except Apple products have never introduced anything new and for people that aren't old or stupid their products offer only less compatibility and functionality. Android phones offer more functionality with increasingly more power. PC machines have no parallel in the world of consumer computers in terms of cost and power. If your concerned about the UI, well both of the aforementioned things can boot to Apple operating systems. Apple is successful when their products offer convenience and ability. Back in the day this was the case but now they are offering high cost products with free inconvenience and low functionality. The insanely high price of their products does not even come close to what they are worth. High quality materials are now a standard so they can't put the cost on that, and they are made in China. Apple will soon go down a hill it can't climb back up if they continue to "push change(garbage) into the future".
I used to love Apple. I would never say I was religious about them, and I certainly was never the person to buy the new thing every year, but I always felt they made solid products that were reliable and worth what you paid for.
That isn't the case any more. Apple is destroying everything that made its product line great - simplicity. Apple customers are generally not the kinds of people that are going to be keen on dongles, adapters, and other mating accessories. Hell, most Apple customers probably aren't tech-savvy enough to know the difference between them.
It's laughably pathetic that you can't even connect the new iPhone directly to the new MacBook Pro. How do you think it's acceptable that your own products can't directly connect to EACH OTHER? What happened to the ideal of Apple's products existing in an ecosystem?
This is going to blow up in Apple's face as time goes on. The launch sales for the new MBP might be good, but this is going to bite Apple in the ass in the long run.

The management said no, because they wanted devices that are faster. After 2 Weeks all of the users were complaining that they need adapters to connect monitors or beamers... we were dying laughing! They said we did not do our job, but we just had to show them the e-mails of the approvals! Apple has become a joke after the lost of Steve!

Wireless-only is a bad answer for many people, Greg, for a hundred different reasons... even if most of them don't apply to your pattern of use. For example, photographers are hating these changes, as are a lot of others working in the arts. Wired connections have a higher level of security for certain use cases. Cloud storage is problematic for certain use cases, and presents serious security concerns. And there are plenty of people who work with large data files using compute-intensive processes and already have their data stored in ways that make Apple's new paradigm really difficult... as in, harder to get work done.
Then again, you may be in luck, because it sounds like you're exactly the customer Apple is now optimizing for.

Hence, Every peripherals or adapter or dongle manufacturer has to pay apple for every single product they make for the thuderbolt jack. That's why they removed the headphone jack. If they wanted to push wireless they would have included wireless charging. That eventually increases the price of the peripherals for the end user too. But apple doesn't care about that. They want that sweet money. They don't give a fuck about their users as they know they are isheeps and will buy anything. Nor do they care aboht the future. just dat sweeet money.

If the 2016 Macbook was thinner yet more powerful, I would actually be thinking of purchasing a piece but I already know that there is no way Apple intends to do that anytime soon. For the past 9 years I have used Mac. A few months ago I switched back to Windows. Not because MacOS is bad, but because the price/performance is not right anymore. That being said, in the past 9 years, across 2 iMacs and 2 MacBook Pros, I had less issues than with Windows over the last 4 months - but still, I can't justify the price of the MacBooks, even if they are better.
Macbooks are shit man, so limited.
The reason why MacBooks are so expensive is because they cut them out of solid blocks of aluminum. It's a blend of craftsmanship along with their other stuff.
I'm not saying everyone should get one, just explaining why they're expensive.

Steve Jobs always said, make it expensive, and if people buy it, you know it's not too expensive, if people don't buy it, then it's too expensive.
Go full Linux my friend - I now mainly use Kubunbu and removed Windows completely. It is definitely worth trying! Only problem is that a lot of creative software (many Adobe products, Microsoft Office) just do not work on it... But for everything there is a replacement ;-)
Arischer Junge 88 I have used Linux for many years starting from 2002 (SuSE, Ubuntu) and it's great... for a nerd like me. Still giving it a try every now and then, but reality is, that if you want to play games or need your PC/Laptop for work (actual work, where you need to be 100% compatible with your work environment), then Linux is simply out of the question. Too much hassle, hacks, workarounds are needed, simply not worth the time and energy.

Going USBC only was a huge mistake, but not as big of a mistake as lightning is. Atleast use standard USB you greedy corporate factors!
Everything for the lightning port is horribly expensive, but it did allow me to run at GTX 980ti grapics card trough it. Now I can run games like GTA V with only 10% loss in performance compared to my 4,7Ghz i7 PC with same GFX card on something that I can take with me on travel :)

I mean what else to do when presented with such laughable specs and horrible design choices like removal of the ports? Apple's biggest selling point was an integrated ecosystem.
