57 Chevy gets a Motor!

- This video starts with doing some ugly rust repair and ends with me picking up the motor for the Bel Air. It's pretty random but sometimes that's how fixing up hot rods goes. Over all it was a very productive few days and having the motor in the garage is like the light at the tunnel!

That's was the exact car, 4 doors, exact color, 6 in line straight engine, we used to own, so much memories, exact conditioned. 1986....had to sell away.....

Very cool, just so you know as far as I can remember, the 350 will fit without removing the rear motor mount brackets. I had one in my last 57, but that was almost 40 years ago. That's going to pull the 57 around perfectly. There might even be enough room for a trany cooler in front of the radiator. lol Keep up the progress and moma will have a lot of fun with it. Later

$160 for ramshorn ceramic exhausts from Summit is what I ended with on my 57. Much better than damn header interference.

It kind of look's like a 400cui smallblock. How many freeze plugs in the side of the block does it have? The 350 has 3 on each side, and the 400 only 2.

That is a truck trans you can take that yoke out and use one for a car and it is bigger than a th 350 yoke.
