There are teachers and there are professors. The fact of life is that many professors are simply excellent technicians in their trades but are neither interested in the learned skills of teaching nor are they naturally gifted. Professors gifted at teaching are actually a rare bread. Professor Millison, you consistently build context for retention and present things in memorable, "boiled down to the essence" ways. If you are ever walking through Strand Hall scratching your head and wondering if any of the students were listening... thinking about just heading for the hills and just doing it, stick to it. The world needs good teachers. Feeling like they are listening comes and goes. ;-)

Andrew, thank you for all of your videos and thank you to the unknown person on Reddit who recommended you to me. My wife and I have an ongoing long term planning project of buying a more rural house and getting out of the ‘burbs. As I have watched your permaculture videos I have noticed the trajectory of our planning and objectives for our next home change and I believe it will lead us to a property/home that will be better than we would have originally selected. You technically are helping us find more happiness and maybe even save some money, too! ❤

Prof. Andrew, I love your teachings. You make them so memorable, and your visual thinking style of teaching really takes the cake.
You help me understand these concepts that make me shy away from permaculture in a manner that is easy to remember and connect.
This is great educational content, and I want to tell you: thanks, your teachings are helping make education more open and, by helping permaculture, most probably helping people live autonomously and promote solidarity socio-ecological way of living.

The question is: when regular people are ready to buy some land in the country and build a small, sustainable homestead, how can they get expert permaculture advice at a price they can afford? Especially given all of their regular construction costs, utilities, insurance, healthcare, property taxes, etc.
It would be great if some of our nation's ego maniacal billionaires would help fund permaculture design & consultation instead of fleeing into outer space, buying up residential real estate & farmland, and creating disruptive service businesses that try to monopolize mature economic sectors. Save the Planet, Don't Leave It Hanging!
