thank you for appreciating Sakura. she gets a lot of hate, but she truly grows to be really strong later on. just gotta be patient with her. many ppl are slowly growing to love her more now though as they truly see her growth later down the line
Wow, you may be the first one I watch who isn't crapping all over Sakura and her backstory just because she was girly as a kid. Yours may have become my fave Reaction Channel on Naruto because of this. I'd also love to see your reaction to Death Note at some point. I just finished watching it in english for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with the VA quality ✌️
People say she does nothing but in this monologue we clearly see that it's an intentional integral part of her character. She's self aware which means the author is self aware. There are females with special clan abilities, take Ino for example so clearly this was an intentional choice with Sakura to have her be a regular girl. I think the author really nailed this Sakura moment, even though some people prefer what 's done with her later on, I think this is what Sakura was intended to be. She has no genetic special abilities, she's just a normal ninja and she's self-aware hence her insecurity. But guess what? A basic ninja with no skill got the upper hand, she used her intelligence which was defined since early on to escape and successfully trick a superior opponent and got a stab in on him. That's epic. She lays clever traps, she can analyze, she clearly has feats they just look unimpressive next to magical grandiose abilities. And that's okay. Not everyone is supposed to be a fighter.
Sakura is very overhated. The parallel with Ino is good, people overlook it but their rivalry was in line with the talent versus hardwork theme. And yeah in OG Naruto, she is meant as this intelligent, skilled and genjutsu specialist. So much so that in Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3, her ultimate move is her inner Sakura kicking your ass. Very disapointed with what they did with her and just Shippuden as a whole.
sakura using the substitutions and then taking the shuriken to surprise the sound ninja is one of the most epic moments in the anime, something about her becoming strong in that moment has so much meaning behind it and makes it so badass
I have to say, people hate on Sakura but on my opinion she is one of the best characters, she's not from a ninja clan and she knows that her companions are always ahead of her, she is smart and works hard to become better. And her cutting the hair that she cared for sasuke is such an important moment for her, this series gives each character teir moment to shine and its awesome. I discovered your channel a day ago and im loving the reactions! Thank you so much for the hard work
I feel like the importance of her cutting her hair is lost on a lot of people. For one, I’ve heard having long hair is a big deal in Asian culture as a sign of beauty, so already that moment is like her forsaking beauty for the sake of becoming a full-fledged ninja But also, it was said that Sasuke likes girls with long hair. And up to that point, Sakura’s main motivation for everything is that she desperately wants to be with Sasuke. So it’s like she’s completely shifting her priorities, if Sasuke doesn’t like her because she has short hair then it’s fine, her dream is to become a ninja on par with the men she looks up to
I think the Sound ninjas deduced Rock Lee was proficient in taijutsu simply from the fact that he blitzed all three of them before any of them could react. Sure, it was a surprise attack, but I'd argue that the third (if not second) person attacked should have the ability to react, assuming both fighters are in the same league. Also: I don't know if this is considered a spoiler, but unfortunately, this is basically peak Sakura development for the entire series. She has her moments moving forward, and does become powerful in her own right, but this is essentially the single most significant moment of character growth that she ever experiences.
"Oh-roh-chee-mah-roo" is the best way I know to spell it phonetically. Japanese is hard to Romanize, if you haven't studied it pronunciation is difficult
It was always my headcanon that the thing between Sakura and Ino wasn't as simple as them both liking Sasuke. Sakura felt like she was in Ino's shadow. What I'm about to say hasn't been clearly established yet, but it's not a spoiler since it's never explicitly made a plot point. The thing is that Sakura the only kid from her class who made it to genin without being from a ninja family with a special technique or power or elite training from a young age or a demon fox giving them near infinite chakra. Considering the failure rate, she's actually really impressive. Remember that 27 genin graduated, but all but the 9 in the chunin exam got sent back to the academy. This episode shows how far it's possible to get with the basic ninjutsu they teach at the academy. As long as she had Ino acting like her big sister and protecting her from everything, she was never going to stand out. And Ino felt betrayed by Sakura seemingly throwing away their friendship over a boy. After that, their most important friendship turned into a relationship defined by competition over a fairly arbitrary goal. Getting the most aloof boy in the world's attention. It actually makes a lot of sense that it was Sasuke, because any of the other boys would have ruined the game by accepting their advances. And after years of competing over Sasuke, it wasn't about the prize anymore. Just the competition. There's more to say about this, but that would be spoilers.
Just gonna mention that you still didn't got Orochimaru's name correctly, but you'll get there eventually. In regard to Sakura, it's hard to deny that she's placed in a more of a supporting role for the most part of the story. There are a couple of other big moments with her, but there's a reason some people feel like she's one of the weakest characters in the show. Kishimoto just isn't great at writing female characters (especially in supporting roles), not that he can't write a good one, but it's clear he has trouble coming up with interesting character arcs for all of his characters and girls get the worst of it, potentially due to the focus on male audience.
I don't want to spoil anything but this is one of the few episodes in the OG Naruto where Sakura's storyline is actually decently written. Sadly, Kishimoto, the author of Naruto really had his trouble with female characters and while he set up Sakura as a character rather well, he could have done so much more with her and she is often relegated to the background.
Yes, it's sad, such a wasted potential. Perfect mastery of her chakra, perfect understanding of anything techincal explained to her. Only weakness being her power quantitiy and the fact that no ones wants to train her, regardless of her potential...

Sakura gets her moments throughout the different series. I wish they would have done more with her.

The soundtrack with the piano is called “sadness and sorrow”, and is probably one of Naruto’s most famous osts. I am so glad you liked it!
NGL Sakura tanking the shuriken and biting him was metal as fuck
Hell yeah
one of the best scenes in the anime

@@Liam-mv9ziwhy tf doesn't she grow her hair in shippuden though
@@yamete_kudasai6969 it’s a reminder of that moment I guess. It’s a lot more practical short anyway
This anime has some of the best OST, ever. Dattebayo.
Sakura's first and last mvp calling it now🙏😂
Jokes aside forgot how well this was done
Keep them reactions coming :). I hope I had time machine so I could go to future for binge watch your reactions lol. Loved it
Amo a Sakura, aún siendo débil en esta parte arriesgando su vida para proteger a sus compañeros.
Yeah Naruto has the best OSTs, symbolism, foreshadowing and storytelling in anime Konoyarō!
Sakura the Queen

No matter what anyone says. For me Lee's Primary Lotus reminds me of Undertaker's Pile Driver

Yeah, sadly Sakura's character arc takes a nosedive just a little after she begins to show her true potential. Such a waste really.
