I think they’ve got a pretty solid future. Jerami Grant is worth at least 2 firsts in return and there’s no telling how many 1st’s Simons will be worth come the deadline next season, so their rebuild is going to be great. Especially if Scoot improves across the board this year.
@@b4amg If you don’t think a team in need of a forward who can play big or small, shoot the three, and defend almost every position while giving 20+ points a night isn’t worth two 1sts then I have no clue what to tell you. If you don’t know ball, then move on. This video isn’t for you.
@@TheRealKMan8 Mikal Bridges just got traded for 5 first round picks and a few seconds and you think a guy who does everything he does defensively on slightly worse efficiency and everything he does offensively on better efficiency… isn’t worth 2 firsts? Edit: To be fair, I don’t like the guy either. He has the Ayton effect where he wastes his talents on some nights, and then shows them off on other nights. He gives you 20 a game on most days and then lazily gives you 15-20 on a bad day. BUT this is an era dominated by defense and the three ball. And a player like him, contract or not, is worth two first round picks. He has a 6’7 wingspan, he’s 6’8, and he shot 40% this past year on more attempts than he took the year before season wide. That is worth two firsts.
i really believe in scoot long term but him and grant having the same rating is actually wild. as far as basketball talent goes jerami grant is only second to anfernee simons on the blazers. 2k is wild
Grant and Ant are both hopefully moved by the trade deadline. This team is Scoot and Sharpe's to take the helm. They should be the starting backcourt and developed. Grant and Ant sadly will be taking valuable mins from Avdija who should be starting PF. Camara should be the starting SF. Eventually, Clingan becomes starter and this becomes versatile team. The passing with Deni, Scoot, and Clingan to catch Camara and Sharpe cutting towards basket is exciting. This team ultimately wants to be bad the next year or 2 and continue to gain high draft picks to further bolster this young core and potentially add a game changer. Playing Ant and Grant heavy mins delays developing the young core that should be playing together going through growing pains and building chemistry at the expense of winning games that Ant and Grant playing heavy mins might facilitate when they actually dont wanna be winning enough to lessen high lottery odds. This team is looking for a star to build around and its not Simons and Grant. Scoot and Sharpe must be given the keys.
I think the Blazers gotta trade jeremi Grant, ayton, thyballe, Robert Williams, and simons. They gotta build around a duo & backcourt of sharpe & scoot. I would love to get ayton or Robert Williams on my bulls.
The Warriors dynasty started with a trade that brought in a solid stretch big man to Golden State, so I wouldn’t mind Ayton heading there in a package for Wiggins, Moody, a first, and a few seconds. Probably an overpay, but the Warriors need a true center, Wiggins is falling off of a cliff, and Ayton (if he decides to try once he’s on a contender again) could really help the Dubs out. I’m a fan of Rob Will to the Bulls or maybe even to a team that needs a true smaller big when they need to play small like the Bucks, and I’m a fan of Simons to the Magic.
I have a feeling they're keeping Simons until Scoot proves he's the guy. Ayton is probably here to stay as he's too valuable to trade for pennies and that's all we'll get for him for the next year. My money is on them trading Grant, Thybulle, RW3. Simons ONLY IF Scoot improves dramatically.
@@rileymcphee9429 Ayton isn’t worth much anymore, man. He was traded for a basic big who’s shown struggles with all levels of scoring the basketball. The issue with trading him is his contract. I agree with everything else you said though, I think we need to wait a season or two before we see a Simons trade. But, there’s a chance that by then, his value isn’t what it is currently. That’s also something that is going to halt the growth of Sharpe as he’ll be forced into a bench role for the next 2-3 seasons of his career.
Sorry bro but this was dumbest rebuild ever, insted of signing then trading Ayton+players/picks for another great center, you lost him and gave three nice player plus first for Claxton that has -3 rating in comp.with Ayton lol you should've blow everything up first pre-season, be ass, stock picks, rebuild from ground up, what Portland needs tbh...and trading Bogdan to Denver would be nice touch, Nuggets fans asking for him bc of great chemistry with Joker in team Serbia, and you had first and Cancar but you gave three second picks plus for Orlando's first.
Blazers have a nice trio of Sharpe, Scoot and Clingan to build around
And Deni aswell as he’s under contract for the next 4 years and only 23
1:24 That is not Donovan Clingan 😭

there is no team in the league spending two firsts on Grant, he’s gonna be 32 and making 31 mil a year

@@vise_atoxity8083 grant hasn’t defended in like 6 yrs tho.
“Jerami Grant” and “two firsts” 😂 nobody is giving two firsts for that contract
