Ok so- I THINK- This is after round 7 in the "afterlife". Ivan's immediate reaction was for Till to leave, kicking him out and back into reality (life). I'm assuming this ledge is the drop off zone. Ivan doesn't want Till to be attached (wants him to 'hate' him), so that's why he's probably choking Till. It worked for him in r6, and he doesn't want Till to start liking him back and feeling bad/guilty. He either saw how affected Till was by his death in r7, leading to his downfall, so he wants to reinforce the idea in Till's head that Ivan hates him so Till hates Ivan back and finds a will to go back to life OR Ivan has no clue what happened in r7, but his first impulse is to get back into character like he was in r6 (to build Till's resentment/hatred) and to keep Till away. The choking in r6 was used as a distraction + 'violent act' to ensure Till won + used to build Till's resentment Till is angry, but Ivan's death has changed him, and he isn't as easily swayed by Ivan's provocations. He is basically still bickering, but hidden in his rage is his guilt, grief and desperation. Even though he's yelling at Ivan, he's pretty much saying Ivan should be the one alive and not him. That he deserved life more, and had a better chance at living / surviving longer "you listened well, you'd have a better chance at living" = Ivan was more obedient and liked "you knew the way out when we were kids" = talking about Ivan trying to escape with Till (flashback in r3) Now, in the official artbook it talks about how Till has always felt guilty throughout his relationship with Ivan because he didn't escape with him that night. He felt responsible for Ivan still being stuck in hell. This was blown to an overbearing degree before and after r6. He snaps, telling Ivan he should have just left if he was so angry (the hatred/anger Ivan is showing to Till in r6 and now by choking him). "don't make me live for nothing" = Till doesn't want to live if all his friends are dead/gone (im assuming it might be an AU he doesn't see Mizi alive??? That or he knows Ivan's death is going to plague him more than Mizi can comfort him for) Till never knew life without love / in loneliness (his comic with his mum). So ofc he's gonna be terrified of life now. I'd also like to point out the cool lil detail of Ivan turning into the rain in r6 from this point onwards. We can probably assume this might not even be 'Ivan' talking to him, but an illusion/scenario Till's subconscious has made for him as he survives his near-death in r7 and comes back to life. Especially considering how 'hateful' Ivan appears to be acting. Because deep down, that's how Till feels Ivan should feel towards him, and that's what he saw in r6 (which I think is why Ivan is now the rain backdrop of r6) But even in this subconscious version of Ivan, he softens. He prioritises Till's safety above all. So even though Till wants to believe that Ivan hates him, perhaps even he can tell Ivan loved him unconditionally, even if he is in denial about it and prefers to think he hates him. Ivan's act of kindness, however, still looks cold in Till's eyes. OK SO THOSE WERE MY THOUGHTS- take them or leave them. The whole Till subconscious thing was my take/interpretation but what the artist actually was trying to get across is probably different and not this deep lmao. It's probably just an afterlife skit.
