Most Corvette aficionados would agree that ’78 was a big year. Not only was Corvette chosen to be the Official Pace Car for the Indy 500 for the first time, but it was also Corvette’s 25th Anniversary. The Pace Car got all of the press. But what many didn’t realize, was that there were two Special Editions introduced that year. To commemorative Corvette’s quarter-century in production, Chevrolet brought out a 25th Anniversary Edition. This model was painted Silver on top and Gray on the bottom divided by a Gray double pinstripe in the center. Special chrome “25th Anniversary” badges were placed on the nose and rear deck and you have a choice of Black, Red or Oyster interior.
