  • Watching Parliament made easy! My Africa Brings you all the scenes you really want to watch!
    Newsworthy, interesting and the funny parts MINUS the boring rest of a long Parliament sitting.
    Parliament of South Africa - “To represent the people, and to ensure government by the people in fulfilling our constitutional functions of passing laws and overseeing executive action”. Parliament: Debate on urgent matter of national public importance (EFF Dr Ndlozi): The plight of Fees Must Fall activists. *****
    The Constitution affords all South Africans the right to see and hear what happens in Parliament.
    For the last 7 years and for the benefit of subscribers and the community “My Africa” search for sequences that are newsworthy, interesting, funny etc. From a, sometimes long and boring, Parliament sitting allowing the community the opportunity to choose which sequence they find interesting and want to watch.
    As a result “My Africa” adds significant value to those effected by the exceptionally high cost of Data and Pay TV.
    Also “My Africa” allows the community to comment and contribute to discussions in a meaningful manner and take stories forward.
    However, we will NOT condone the following:
    Racism (including offensive comments based on ethnicity and nationality)
    Sexism
    Homophobia
    Religious intolerance
    Cyber bullying
    Hate speech
    Derogatory language
    Comments inciting violence.
    We strive to make the TH-cam community a safe and welcoming space for all.

    Jesus, Ndlozi and the EFF are such babies. He and his entourage are always insulting people and when someone so much as fail to call someone ‘Honourable’ and they immediately get up in arms. It’s sad seeing so much support for the EFF’s ‘fighting’ when they just throw tantrums (the DA do to but they do get criticised for it)

    They should make the following rules:
    1) Members that speak or interrupt the speaker should be given 3 warning, and then be asked to leave the house.
    2) If you interrupt someone to "raise a point of order", only to say something that is not a real point of order, your party should be banned from raising any further points of order while the current speaker speaks. That should motivate that party to practice some internal discipline.

    • @nitromania5827

      No, members are treated as individual members of parliament, so your propositions would hinder freedom of individual dignity.

    • @Hannodb1961
      @Hannodb1961 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nitromania5827 Why should they be treated as individual members of parliament? They were not elected as individual members as is the case in the Brittish electoral system, they are elected as members of a party that was voted for. That's also why parties get to dictate to their members how they should vote. As an MP, you are not there to represent yourself as an individual, you're there to represent the party which 40 000 people voted for.

    • @nitromania5827
      @nitromania5827 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Hannodb1961 no, maybe in Britain they do that, but not here. In South africa you have a house consisting of members of parliaments. If what you are saying was the case then when the presiding officer were to chase out a member of the EFF for example, then they would be forced to chase out the whole EFF because they are associated with that member. They don't work like that, and that fact alone defeats your argument.

    • @Hannodb1961
      @Hannodb1961 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nitromania5827 And that is how it is suppose to be.
      In the Brittish system, the country is divided into constituencies, and parties have to appoint a candidate for each constituency. Effectively, people vote for the candidate as much as, if not more than his party. That's why in the Brittish system, a candidate has the right to cross the floor to another party, because the mandate belongs to him, not to his party.
      In our system, people don't vote for the MP, they just vote for the party, and the party sets up a proportional list of representatives. No one in parliament has a personal mandate to be there, every last one of them are there because people voted for their party. That's why we don't have floor crossings in South Africa. The party should therefore rightly be able to tell their MP's how to behave and how to vote. If not, then that is a betrayal of the electorate who voted for that party, and a left over from the Brittish system that shouldn't exist anymore.
      And yes, if one party member does not behave, and the party whip refuses to exercise party discipline, then the entire party should be kicked out.

    • @nitromania5827
      @nitromania5827 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Hannodb1961 no, every member of parliament has the right to vote for the option of their own choice, whether the party agrees or not. These motions that you are proposing don't exist in the current rules, that's the point I'm making. Every member has the right to individual dignity and liberty. I disagree with your view but I respect it.

    For a member of a Boer nationalist party, MP Wessels is quite civil and decent. Not the typical brainless hooligan-bully inbred type or the fascist cold-blooded conservative type, that we know so well. I actually agree with some of his points. The "culture" of destroying property as a form of protest has to stop! In a democracy people need to utilise civil forms of protest.

You should've heard dr Pieter Mulder. What a statesman, what a gentleman he was. Do consider voting for them next year: The bigger the FF+ are, the more influential they'll be if we get a coalition government. The DA has become ANC-Lite, because it didn't mind sacrificing its principles on the altar for greater numbers. That's why they were fighting Patricia de Lille for 3 years without ever explaining why: factionalism.

    The displeasure of looking at the clowns, tearing each other apart, name calling, plain schoolyard bullying tactics, is nothing but laughable and shows how stupid they are to fight over who is making the loudest noise. As South African, we have every right to boycott this behaviour before it deteriorate to the lowest levels. Here are the proposed ways to control this mess. One refuse to honour paying tax that helps these fools to thrive. 2. To make public protest of this degeneration of the decorum of parliament. 3 To educate these anarchists, how are they expected to behave in an acceptable manner.4 To chase them away whenever they try to address the public, until they look and sort out their behavior within the Parliamentery presinct.5 To campaign for the bar to be moved out of parliament, and bring breathalyser to test the level of alcohol consumption during when their entry and time they know off from parliament. To introduce point system like that of driver's license system, as the MP behave badly certain score points are taken away from scoreboard, if it gets to 10, she or gets fired from Parliament.
    Another point scoring should be about the quality of the debate, readiness to tackle issues of national important in a way that is learnedly,in arguing the points of politics. Corruption scoreboard points on the parties represented in Parliament, to be stripped of points due to corruption, and be relegated to the thin margins in terms of numbers, the punitive measure that should take two terms of the financial year. To fire those who are corrupt in the spot and public make a mockery of them, which need to be followed by criminal charges with no defence.And reviewing of public money usage in all government spheres and public parading those who have stolen public money and written of their name to the Public Wall of Shame whilst being paraded there for the entire sentenced passed by the courts working without pay, for every 3 hours on day, members of the public are offered a chance to view these people, and say whatever abusive word to these scums.Those who have money can hire them to do hard labour without pay, except giving them food, and return for public parading each day.But a campaign need to be started by non aligned politically individuals.

      ANC complained about Bantu education, but one of the first things they did when they came to power was to close the teachers colleges. The education most black children receive now is worse than bantu education, if any education exists at all. But if you think the massas are going to put blame where blame belongs.... that is the advantage of having an ignorant electorate - they're like putty in the politicians hands, sheep that can be steered in whatever direction the elite wants.

      Ok, so you want an argument to prove it?
      How about this: Einstein said that only stupid people keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.
      1) Zimbabwe confiscated private property without compensation. Today, Zimbabwe is so poor, it can't even afford to have its own currency.
      2) Venezuela confiscated private property without compensation. They're now the Zimbabwe of South America.
      3) The EFF advocate for the confiscation of private property without compensation, and expect that to improve the life of the poor, while all the evidence point to the apposite.
      The EFF, and their supporters are stupid. That is not an opinion, it is a statement of fact. They think they're doing something to improve their situation, but their own actions is only making things worse. They are people who cut off their own noses to spite their faces, and then they blame others for their disfigurement. When someone realise he is ignorant, there is still hope, because he can learn and improve himself. When someone take arrogant pride in his ignorance, that person is hopeless.
      If you're going to act like a clueless idiot, you should not take offence when people call you that.
