Another thought is to leave the shaft alone, put a clamshell like clamp around it and then put that metal clamp into the rudder mount with a bolt like you did the shaft. Thanks again for this article , it will lead to me buying a 110 Vibe as converting to electric is so easy.
I swondering about doing same thing. You said "None that i've had, the motor is a watersnake 18lb thrust, moves me about 3-4 mph and is Super light." Do you think a minn kota 30 pound would also work? BTW 3-mph is great on 18 lbs.
My favorite mod has got to be the seat. Holy shit this kayaks one downfall is you cant stand safely and this kills my back and my legs after 4 hours or so
I want a break down of how you did that trolling motor cause that’s how I wanna do it for sure.

Goddamn genius. What battery do you use and how much range do you get?
Some great ideas. I think I will do the same to my 110. Thanks for the video.
nice setup 👌 it will be nice if you could post a video on how to attach trolling motor to rudder
Some great ideas you've got here dude

Are there any structural issues with your motor mount? Great idea!

@@2011sc10 what’s the mount?
@@Jonathan.Hosley the mount is just the rudder mount, I removed the beaver tail and put in the trolling motor.
When you are sitting on the seat cushion does it make the Kayak unsteady?
Yes and no, not as unsteady as standing but not too unsteady from sitting lower
How did you get the angle for the rod holder mount?
I set up the pvc where i wanted it so I can adjust it, then after it was in the right spot , threw some glue on them
Do you have a link for the motor you used?

Awesome setup!
How did you wire the trolling motor?
Wires from the motor go to a 60a pwm switch which is in the front hull next to battery in a waterproof box, just ran wires through hull .

How do you control it?
Never mind I see how you control it
Weird
Sick setup!
