Wasim Raja was a talented cricketer from Pakistan who left a significant mark on the cricketing world during his career. Born on July 3, 1952, in Multan, Pakistan, he was a versatile all-rounder known for his stylish batting and effective off-spin bowling.
Raja made his debut for Pakistan in 1973 and quickly established himself as a key player in the team. With his elegant stroke play and strong technique, he became a valuable middle-order batsman. His ability to handle both pace and spin made him a reliable performer in all formats of the game.
One of his most memorable innings came in 1977 when he scored a brilliant century against England at The Oval. His knock of 125 runs not only saved Pakistan from a precarious situation but also helped them secure a historic victory against England in their own backyard.
In addition to his batting prowess, Wasim Raja was also a handy off-spinner. He often chipped in with crucial wickets, providing valuable breakthroughs for the team. His all-round skills made him a crucial asset in both Test matches and One-Day Internationals.

I wonder how foolishly and carelessly these guys used to play. If Qasim and wasim had played sensibly, 250 was surely on board. Heroics was serious disorder in tjose days. Sense never prevailed.
