- The best place I have found to fish on the Ohio river, catfishing or multi species fishing, this fishery is a unique lock and dam system with multiple dam structures with deep and shallow water making this a great place to bank fish or boat fish, this is part 2 of my fishing trips here this year showing off some incredible fishing at this bucket list fishery everyone should at least visit once in there fishing career.

I have been enjoying some of your videos lately. I fish the tail waters of the Ohio River a lot and was wondering if you offer any guide services in that area.
I will offer guided trips maybe next year I’m working on it I just need a more suitable boat for passengers, you can stay in touch through my face book page river blood or Jamie Barnett on fb
thats crazy u got hybrid on cut bait , nice catches
It happens all the time it’s a nice surprise
@@RiverBloodfishingI catch big stripers using skipjack livers. Stripes also love chicken liver.
Awesome meeting you buddy. Glad you got on em but I wish you would have saved me that hybrid 😂
Lol I didn’t think about it, hope to see you again out there
From Florida ( born in Evansville).. mostly salt water fish, but I would do that … that looks like fun
Nice blue catfish and that hybrid striped bass was nice too. You gotta knack for landing your bait on their head lol
Bite was on 🔥
Look like a fun trip i been tearin em up down there this fall
It’s crazy these hybrids are hitting cut bait on the bottom
@@RiverBloodfishing i catch off bottom alot in heavy current mostly on artificial i never use live bait out there
Love the vids man. What boat are you fishing from?
1969 Boston whaler, Minot
I saw you Sunday afternoon on the boat ramp. There were two Conservation Officers using binoculars watching your every move from the park.
Infact I'm down at the end of the broken ramp at the end of your video. Watching you load up the boat solo had me impressed.
I had no idea those guys were watching I threw my cast net up by the dam and I’m pretty sure it’s illegal have to be back 100 feet or 100 yards
They was probably trying to figure out what the hell I was doing in the hydros on the kayak 😂
River Blood yes in Indiana it has to be 300 yards away from a dam or spillway.
Ryan Bortz I saw you too and was wondering the same thing lol
@@damgoodfishing2907 shoot I was over they slaying it. I’m going to Chickamauga dam tomorrow to bump the real flow in the big hydros. I’ll be live in here and on tic toc randomly all weekend
Great video 😎
Thank you
You have a guide service
@RiverBloodfishing no sir! Missouri River Catfish Guides is my buddies service. We fish together at times, and just thought I would make a shout out for my buddies services.
Looks like you had a good day. I didn't catch anything by the ramp.
They was all out there in the current, I didn’t mark any fish near the ramp, I may try again this week end
Where's the best fishing? I'm from Se Fl & I'm hating it here to be honest. we call those locks or spillways down south 🤙
For fresh water fishing it just depends all the good streams and lakes are spread out East Tennessee on tenesse river can be good and some of its sorrounding lakes also Alabama guntersville, Ohio river has its moments, but to be honest we would all rather be In south Florida 😂
I live in Louisville have my own gear. Would love go catfishing with you. Thanks
If you have any good tips on solo boat launching I'd watch that. My son is off to college now, and its time for me to step up. Especially in a river.
I have been planning on making that video, I put my boat in some scetchy places, I have a few good tips especially when the current is strong
I just found your channel. I'm thinking about making some videos down there. I live about an hour from Louisville.
Thanks for watching, I’m also about an hour away, I fish markland dam and meldahl dam a lot more, but go for it make some videos man that’s a beautiful place and a great fishery
I live 10 mins from meldahl would love some tips for that area was there today actually there were tons of gar or sturgeon or something jumping all over it was crazy
Get em 🦾
Hope fully this week end produces, looks like meldahl was decent to you
Great freaking channel man!
🎣🎣🎣
Thank you there more vids coming your way soon
Try fishing up in the Cincinnati area on the Ohio licking has some back waters
That’s where I’m from
I grew up fishing the licking
What state are you fishing where you are allowed to use so many rods? Seems kinda greedy to us.
We take 8-10" fresh shad just cut the tail off open there mouth and hook up through the head for them monster 60# plus blues behind the hydroelectric dam.
wrong spot bud
I use one inch by one inch cut bait white perch. I get 30lb. And up.
Markland is far more dangerous
I don’t think I could argue with that I’ve had more sketchy stuff happen at markland this year
Go half the size. Money
