The guide for Olaplex purple shampoo says to use a shampoo (preferably a clarifying one) before using the Olaplex purple. Makes sense in this context. I like the Olaplex, I dont experience any additional drying out of my hair due to that.

Hey! I would try to alternate the Olaplex 3 and the Purple shampoo so they're used on different wash days. But you should use the regular shampoo and hair mask every wash until you're done repairing your hair. Hope that helps!

I went to get this purple mask and I love it!! I used to buy the big bottles of the Redken purple shampoo and conditioner, but the shampoo dries out my hair and I didn’t see much of a difference with the conditioner. The mask works really well! Hey Kayla! Olaplex has a good purple shampoo. If you already bought it go ahead and use it! It can turn your hair purple if you leave it on too long. So just remember to start small. Don't leave it on very long. If it does turn purple it will slowly fade. But you're better off making sure it doesn't turn purple in the first place :)
Yes purple shampoo dries your hair but you can just use purple conditioner after it and then you're good, also you don't use purple shampoo every day only like once a week.

Sure, I'm not a big fan of spinning irons bc the curl doesn't last very well. But if your hair holds a curl very very strongly it will be ok 👍 Kenra color charge is my favorite color safe shampoo 🙏

What about Fanola purple (no yellow) or blue (no orange, for darker hair) masks? The Fanola shampoos won't clean as good as the Redken and are drying. But if we can't use the purple Redken mask due to it containing wheat protein (some of us can't tolerate wheat or gluten containing products), what is a good alternative? Would it be better to use Olaplex's purple shampoo, or a purple (or blue if hair is darker) like Fanola's masks? If we use the Olaplex purple shampoo, should we use the Redken Volume Injection on the scalp and then the Olaplex purple, as we might stain the scalp with the purple? If we already have Fanola's purple or blue shampoo, and we use the Redken Volume Injection first, is it okay to just quickly run the Fanola (or the Olaplex one) shampoo over the hair quickly, then follow with a mask? Nah :( natural blonds generally don't have much brassiness to neutralize. And natural blonde doesn't absorb the pigment as well because it's healthier and less porous than artificial blonde.

Hard to say without seeing your hair. But if you can look at a picture of your hair right after the highlights were done, and then look at your hair now... If you liked the highlight color more in the first picture more then yes purple shampoo will help 👍

Sometimes. But other times it can be diluted, expired or counterfeit. Redken won't sell directly to those stores. So they get it from second hand dealers. Hard to say if it's good or not!

You have to use it only once a week, if you're using purple products more than once a week it will obviously turn green.
@@Hachiko264 the purple mask is what I use ones a week with my regular shampoo and it works great. I think mask are way better and moisturizing.

Sure, I'm not a big fan of spinning irons bc the curl doesn't last very well. But if your hair holds a curl very very strongly it will be ok 👍 Kenra color charge is my favorite color safe shampoo 🙏

I’m trying to find “color care” shampoo and conditioner products my stylist said I needed right after I got my hair done I just have highlights/Balayage but she said I need to start using purple shampoo and a mask 1 or 2x a week and color care shampoo so I’m trying to find a balance of what to use on my head 😅 I’ve been watching you for awhile now using Redken volume shampoo & conditioner and it’s been great for me so far I don’t want to give it up, any recommendations now that I do have bleached hair?

What about Fanola purple (no yellow) or blue (no orange, for darker hair) masks? The Fanola shampoos won't clean as good as the Redken and are drying. But if we can't use the purple Redken mask due to it containing wheat protein (some of us can't tolerate wheat or gluten containing products), what is a good alternative?
Would it be better to use Olaplex's purple shampoo, or a purple (or blue if hair is darker) like Fanola's masks? If we use the Olaplex purple shampoo, should we use the Redken Volume Injection on the scalp and then the Olaplex purple, as we might stain the scalp with the purple?
If we already have Fanola's purple or blue shampoo, and we use the Redken Volume Injection first, is it okay to just quickly run the Fanola (or the Olaplex one) shampoo over the hair quickly, then follow with a mask? Or should we stop using it and switch to the mask (my plan for the future, may stop using the purple shampoos now, as they are drying and I have to use the Redken first)?

Nah :( natural blonds generally don't have much brassiness to neutralize. And natural blonde doesn't absorb the pigment as well because it's healthier and less porous than artificial blonde.
I use verb hair mask after amika shampoo. Just bought Moroccan oil mask

I’ve watched most of your videos. I haven’t seen any that talked about short/ medium length hair with layers. I’m a 52 year old with hair that is dyed blonde. The sides of my hair are thinner and won’t grow past my jawline. Any ideas ?
Olaplex 3 hair repair fixed that problem for me. My sides were all frizzy and wirey, now they are nice and smooth.

Hard to say without seeing your hair. But if you can look at a picture of your hair right after the highlights were done, and then look at your hair now... If you liked the highlight color more in the first picture more then yes purple shampoo will help 👍

Bc mask is going after shampoo and I’m blonde from the root I need the mask all the way up on my roots This mask is leaving my hair greasy and I will need to wash my hair again in a day or two so I guess purple shampoo is better.? Pls help

Is the Redken brand you buy at Meijer or CVS the same as the kind you’d buy from Sally’s or a hair salon?
Sometimes. But other times it can be diluted, expired or counterfeit. Redken won't sell directly to those stores. So they get it from second hand dealers. Hard to say if it's good or not!

I have suuuuper fine hair & use purple shampoo on all of my hair, including my roots, then I shampoo with my regular shampoo. Never greasy.

I have fine hair that gets oily very easily and using a purple mask doesn’t make my hair get greasy any quicker than it normally does!
