It has been working great as long as you have water. I get my water from a pong and I pump it into an IBC tank the gravity feeds to the the 5 inch pipes that have the float valves. The problem I have is the last few summers the pond dries up and I run out of water. then my tomatoes start cracking. I had some extra tomatoes in a raised bed and that seam to survive the drought. So this year I plan on pulling the rain gutter pipe out and replacing with raised beds with drip irrigation with a timer. where are you located I give give you a good deal on the rain gutter pipes. I am in CT.
That is a great idea. You can get baskets cheap at dollar stores. 8yrs later do you still like this?

What is the water floater assembly model?
