Thanks! I just ordered the bag using your link. I plan on using it as a “Just in Case” Emergency Bag for my Truck. After all, Winter is coming and It’s not improbable to be stuck on the side of the road. Thanks again!
Just a small thing, if you replace the side zip pulls with shock cord loops you could lock your water bottles in place by hooking the loops over the water bottle cap from each side
Bought this pack 7 years ago and used the same H harness with it. I paid 25 then. Pretty good pack. Stiching came apart along main compartment zipper but easily repaired.
Thank you for your informative videos, I have the shangri la mongo versipak clone and it has been money. I have it stuffed with 28lbs of gear for my hikes and it has held up for over 40 hikes of at least 4 miles, survived a fall and still hasn’t lost a stitch or broke a piece of plastic off!! The bag is pretty bullet proof thanks for making a videos on this cheap but good brand!!🫡🇺🇸
Your gear storage area must look like mine. It takes a weekend to figure out what/how I want to carry something. 1 day to decide, 1 day to dig it out.. lol.. love it!
Great video: price value relationship is excellent. Packs don’t have to be “mil spec.” Lighter material and stitching allows more items can be carried for weight. Great pack contents. Well thought out.
Dear "Prepared Wanderer". I would very much like to see you do a review on two Helikon-Tex bags: The EDC Shoulder Bag, and the Claymore Bag. Thank you.
Pretty nice setup I really don't comment as much as I should or used to on this channel that pack kind of reminds me of a small one I ordered through cheaper Than dirt before they became higher than a cat's rear end. Except it looks a bit larger. I'll have to look into getting one of these. Thanks
I used a similar belt with shoulder straps for early fall deer rifle hunting in October Then they canceled that and I had to haul warmer clothes I came up with a system where I had an orange bucket to sit on and filled it full of warm clothes. I strapped to a backpack with more warm clothes, food, water, and cleaning stuff I went hunting from sunup to sundown on public land so sometimes It would take three days of seeing small does before the fourth or fifth day of them getting back to wandering around in the daytime and if get a deer Compared to hunting on a farm back in the late 1980's and seeing 50-100 does a day and having a buck only tag
I have something similar that I bought from One Tigris. It's a decent piece of kit. I never thought about attaching it to a battle belt system with an H harness. Thanks for the idea and thanks for sharing.😊
I still have my Sabercat on a Condor battle belt with h harness.wirh 2 canteen pouches . Sometimes I put a sustainment pouch on the back to carry extra gear .
In one evening I watched GB2 and Jason of Hobo Forge / Survival, along with this where you showed the 2008 operations photo, got me wondering if you three served together? I was long since a civilian by then and my engineering operations differed greatly from you guys. I don’t know what it was about this video but my favorite of yours. Thank you.
You know i wrote to maxpedition asking them to bring back the sabercat years ago i guess they have no interest in it, even when i pointed out to them that they were so valuable you couldnt find them on ebay anymore and knockoffs at the time were commanding more than there original price and were popular selling like crazy. I even wrote on to corporals corner and dave canterbury asking them to look into it with pathfinder and i havent heard from them yet. I like how modular it can be, you can turn it into essentially a military h harness but more modernized with molle for adding or subtracting equipment. I thought a small daypack / hydration bag would be nice like the condor pouch. I thought about the Shagri-la just never went through with it.
My biggest concern with this system is that the belt is flimsy, doesn't lend to additional load carrying capacity. I much prefer the old school ALICE type system, and have been using that for nearly 20 years. Bought an H harness and belt from Blackhawk Ind. years ago, and since I'm no longer serving it has held up very well, takes additional pouches and provides excellent support.

Now, that's a cool little bag! Love the organization. May have to pick one of those up.
Good stuff! Low cost, comfortable, modular, tough great kit for quick hikes or hunting.

Nice little kit! I use the Helikon Tex Foxtrot MK2 in a similar fashion.
Like the set up. Time to go add to my wish list.
I'll have to get one of these. Only thing I can think you are missing from your pack is a pocket bible.
Hello my outdoors friend, that is a nice setup. It's perfect for day hikes. Stay safe out there. 😊

Alpenflage TAZ 83 camouflage! I have a complete set. One of my favorite camouflage. This is a cool setup.

Maybe the Helikon Tex Foxtrot Mk2 fits your needs
I totally forgot I had one until this video. How much have they been going for?
@stevejackson9952 probably last I ever saw one was not even joking around $500 and that was years ago
@robfahey1349 Dam!! Time to do some research.
Awesome
What size bag is yours? There is a 17x10x6 and a 15x9x6. I suspect either would work fine but am curious. great looking setup. Thanks.
The smaller one

It’s not meant to. It for stabilizing the bag
Good review, thanks for sharing, YAH bless !
Kewl setup. What drone is that..?
DJI neo
Is that Belgian cammo?
Swiss alpenflage
ALPS Outdoorz Little Bear Fanny Pack
Check that out
add a 200 rnd. SAW pouch or a utility pouch to the upper back of thr H harness and you'd have a mini backpack too!
I was thinking about that. 👍🏼
Are there other types of backpacks that can attach to the H-harness? What are they?
