Their 2006 Ledreborg Castle concert with the Danish National Orchestra and Choir was a classic performance. Trying to spot an animated Dane in the crowd became a game during covid lockdown 😂 Great show once again guys! Thanks for the barrel of laughs... and of course, the fine music.
Hello Gentlemen, I hope the two of you are well. I've been having a hard time of it with the aging process, hip replacement surgery will hopefully help. I loved your happy banter it made me giggle almost to the point of pissing myself. Have you seen this song live from Denmark in 2006? I highly recommend it as it was great. Thank you for making my day. Rest in Peace Mr Gary Brooker. 🌹
I always remember the organ from this song, so haunting and mesmerising. An absolute classic, plus facinating to see England in the 60s from the video and the fashion.
Hahaha, now I know where the Da Doinng in the Shorts video teaser came from. Seeing Procol Harem in a church setting in some form of ceremonial robes just reinforces my comments on the teaser video. This makes it even funnier to me the second time around. Ahhh, Procol Harem ... what can I say. I was only 4 years old when Whiter Shade of Pale came out, but I remember my oldest sister playing this song over and over and over, in the mid-70s, which would have made me 12 or 13. I used to bang on the wall between our bedrooms and yell out to her, begging her to play something different. She of course told me to F**k off. So, growing up I wasn't a fan of this song. Fast forward a lot of years and I moved past my early interactions with WSoP and have come to appreciate the beauty of the melody within the song, and just the sublime vocal performance on the recording (I don't think I have ever seen/heard a live version). In the mid-2000s my sister lost her long battle with recurring brain tumors and Procol Harum's Whiter Shade of Pale was played in the chapel at her funeral as her husband, son, my brother and myself carried her coffin out of the chapel to her graveside. This song now has a special place in my heart. It's not a place of sadness, but one of joy. A place of acceptance and beautiful memories. Thank you for sharing this song with us.

Dear You Tube I must complain about the irreverent antics of the Thamesmen in their latest digital missive concerning the popular beat combo Procal Harem and their song Whiter Shade of Pale. To treat such godly music with such hilarity and to raise such demeaning racial food stereotypes in a prime time show is beyond all comprehension and destroys all standards of good taste. They should be severely disciplined and made to listen to Rick Astley 24/7 for the rest of their natural lives. Yours sincerely Longford Whitehouse (Ms)
Lol, that was reasonably high quality entertainment guys! Probably the only thing worse than a fit of the giggles is when you get hiccups that just will not stop. "A Whiter Shade of Pale" is an all-time classic, needless to say; I am going to guess that is an Alex choice, given the fabulous organ that drives the song?
Thought Brooker dies a year ago - I binged on Procul Harum when I heard. As an ex-pat Aus I recommend duelling with witchety grubs, rump steaks, and lamingtons. Vegan alternatives are available (no they're not ;-) )

What would be the best duelling food. My childhood tells me that black pudding is the ultimate duelling weapon. (I should mention that I haven’t left that childhood yet).
And Aussies would duel with a Chicko Roll as a close quarters weapon, and fried South Melbourne Market Dim Sims as yonnies to be piffed from a distance. That’d fix the Inuits up.
