Few things missing in the anime here about the payment of the merchants, the established merchants had already agreed on other means of payments but that noble interfered and got them on his side to only accept Dwarven coins, he also tried to introduce false coins for the appraiser to check to make them look bad but this was overheard and written about by the reporters. Also the reporters were there because of Diablo since they have good relations after he saved their lives from the Luminaries.
Some dialogue with the merchants was gone which may have further justify banning them. One tempest tried to give them other alternative type payments, two they asked them to wait a little bit more, and three to TRUST tempest. So Rimuru recounted this facts to dig his points deeper, they didn't take alternatives, wait, nor trust tempest. They also remove my favorite line of the chapter. "Trust is a two way street"
After Rimuru left, the merchants were on their knees, begging Mjollmile to mediate between them and the demon lord. He agreed, and as a result, the merchants became his underlings. Now they work for him/Tempest. It's easier to have someone owe you a favor then to threaten them.
Season 4 will actually pop off. Especially if it's 24 episodes. The beginning will be a little slower like Season 3, but, after that, sooooo many questions to stuff set up since Season one will be answered. The second half of Season 4 will be explosive. Setting off the biggest. . . . . . . . . . . World War that leads to the Great Tenma War to end all of existence. Because the first Angel, the Original Saraphim went insane after God died 2000 years ago. So this final Tenma War is about destroying all of existence.
Season 4 will be voluems 10 and 11 with maybe some of volume 12 of the novel but v10 and v11 are massive so how much of the start of v12 we get I dont know Spoilers if interested tried to keep detail as vague as possible The big war starts during volume 12 ... but there are a lot of action and big events before that that I am quite certain s4 will not be the war ... maybe like we will see the enemy army move out at the very end .... for those interested in a general outline with as little detail possible S4 will have a lot of focus on the dungeon Rimuru will go and explore the ruins mentioned this season under Claymans castle Mariabel will be the first main antagonist as seen in this episode Rimuru will get a collection of different collared Cars We should meet the 10 Dungeon Wonders And there will be the Cultural exchange with Lubelius mentioned by Luminou after We may get the build up towards the big war depending on how they do the rest
I, for one, don't want people to think that Season 4 is going to pop as much as rumor would have it. First, it's all in the execution. Some things in Season 4 will resemble Season 3. I had thought Hinata and Rimuru's confrontation would pop more, but it came off as anticlimactic. So we'll see. Despite all the criticism of the meetings, I think the biggest deficit has been in the battle scenes, in some ways it has been that way since the beginning, especially all the behind the scenes Skill use and tactics. I am still wondering how they could do the meeting scenes much better. Without changing the story, that is. The story had a lot of meetings. It's true. It's one thing to say they could do it better, but how exactly? Not in theory. And taking into account the production constraints. Even a light novel reader will be struck at how much of the LN narrative is consumed by meetings. Without inventing new story, how are we going to convey all the information that is produced by the meetings? And the meeting setting itself means something. I think the way 8bit is portraying the meetings is true to the feeling of the source, mostly, which makes me rate the season about an 8.5. Now as to this episode. Rimuru's country didn't have the bandwidth to develop currency. People trust currency based on the country that mints them. We've already established in Season 2 that teleportation of organic goods spoils them. There are other reasons, power requirements, limited magicians, etc. Logistics existed before computers did (although it may not have been called that). A co-prosperity sphere is a trade agreement. There was one before. The Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. According to Brittanica, it was "The Japanese concept of a unified and self-sufficient bloc in the Asia-Pacific region under Japanese control." It failed. Yuuki isn't dumb.
Human-and-monster co-prosperity sphere brings memories of reading up on the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, when Japan allied with that failed Austrian painter.
very good episode because it all is coming together now, nice we get season 4 and another movie. because there is alot of characters and still more to come. ALSO NICE WE GET A SEASON 2 OF FREIEN COMING IN FUTURE
we had a nice running guy. it might've been a whole arse yapathon, but it was our yapathon, we ate that shritu through... see you all, next season, or just in Caw's slime diaries reaction for the time being.
1:35 I think it's pretty simple, it's like basically having a Swiss Bank Account, your Assets and Funds are well kept and the cost isn't actually too high along with really good privacy
Hmm, imo this season is overall an 8/10, yes i kinda agree with the first cour (Mainly episode 2/3 to 6) and iirc these episode's aren't even mainly made by 8-bit, and iirc not only The irregula at magic highschool but there was another series by 8bit that season, the rest of this season is actually pretty enjoyable and overall a good conclusion moving forward, and im hyped for season 4 and beyond (hopefully a better adaptation but its currently not too bad i guess) 🤔
What I got from Mariabel's talk of culture is that it's a country's soft power--another way to influence it's allies and enemies. Remember, most countries don't really have a culture as they're focused on survival and monster suppression. Tempest could become their culture and influence them. It would make bringing them under the Rozzos more difficult.
Well First Narrative Arc (Begginging/Orc Lord) Done, Second (Falmuth/Kleiman) Done, Third (Festival/Rozzo) will Finish in the next Season. Half spoiler: Next Season will be fire: West Council, the funny side story of the Avatar inside of the Labyrinth, Demons, Holy Empire of Lubelius, Final battle against Rozzo Family with a better exploration of them and in the End presentation of the Eastern Empire. I'm Excited.
If Maribel does want to take over the world purely out of greed, I hope there's an actual good reason for her greed. Like, maybe she got corrupted by someone or something and is acting like that because she was forcibly made more greedy by this corruption. If the reason is actually "because she want to" with nothing else around it, that'd be such a cop-out.
Would that be that big of a cop-out? Greed and ambition are pretty common driving forces. But yeah, I wonder if they´ll include her story/reasons in the anime, or skip most of it.
@@johnyshadow Maybe not a big cop-out, but it's at the very least a waste of her character. There are so many potential reasons for greed and she's surrounded in quite a bit of mystery that'd NOT having an actual reason besides "she just want to" kind of makes her feel like an incomplete character. Or, potentially even worse, she could end up seeming like those cartoon villains that are evil for the sake of evil and don't feel realistic at all.
@@keegansantoroski9042 I think we difinitely have more to learn about her, but I also wouldn´t get my hopes up too much. I mean, I get your point, but I also believe that "cartoonishly evil" characters have their place, if done well.
@@johnyshadow We do definitely need to wait longer to find out more about her and the Rozzo family. The cartoonishly evil character trope can be done well and is actually really good when done well. It's just that it's really easy to mess it up. I'd like to think that Tensura wouldn't use that trope. But, I do think that it's good enough that there's a reasonable chance that they could make it work, if they choose to go down that route.
It was hinted as she mentioned the nostalgic scent of culture or something like that. They will go more in to detail on her later (I hope). For some spoilers look below, otherwise stop reading here :) She was a financial genius who was a ruler who pretty much dominated Europe before she died (which is where her Greed skill comes from), and just like Rimuru she was reincarnated and not summoned or just falling in to the world like Yuuki and Hinata. There's a bit more to her reincarnation but for now it's not important imo since the Anime hasn't really gone in to detail on the Rozzos.

I wonder if Geld Sr. Calling Rimuru greedy one was foreshadowing.

for those interested in a general outline with as little detail possible

Rimuru will go and explore the ruins mentioned this season under Claymans castle

Rimuru will get a collection of different collared Cars
