🌴it’s amazing this video I’m watching is six yrs old already and that crab hasn’t aged a bit 😄, but it really looks like it would do well here in west central Florida, and all along the coast , I’m going to tie up a few I’ll bet they would do great for red drum , black drum , sheepshead, bone fish , pompano, permit , could even tie up a larger size for Tarpon , great pattern like how the EP fiber doesn’t go on the bottom, thanks for posting 👍🏼
Martyn, Great looking wee crab. I love your accent, Davie McPhail called his pattern a wee beastie tonight. I love it. If I could go anywhere it would be Scotland. Would it be helpful to put some tungsten or lead substitute under the (on top) of the hook when tying in the eyes to help keep the crab from flipping? Just wondering. I have no use for a crab because I don't fish salt water. I am sure there are a few species of fresh water crab but I don't know anything about them. I may tie one just to entertain the wife. She loves to see my flies if they are impressionistic enough to understand what they are. When your terminal, nothing like a little dementia to take the fear and realism out of dying. For me it is a little more sad. The Lord is preparing me as much as one can be prepared. All the best to you. Keep the videos coming I watch them all night while caring for her. Sean
Hi Sean, the dumbbell eyes are enough to make sure it rides hook point up usually, combined with the body being tied inside the gape you can be sure this always fishes the correct way with the hook pointing up.
Just wondered because you mentioned some kind of crab that you can't be sure would stay up because of water resistance. You weren't talking about this one I assume. I hope you are not offended by my amusement with your accent. I have a New England American accent that could cut bread. Most European's don't understand me unless I consciously enunciate. All the best, Sean
The neatest tie I have ever seen, well done. I am sure it fishes very well!
This is a good one! Freshwater Carp and Cats this spring for sure
I'm glad I'm not the only one that does that...😂
Really like will need 2 tie some up

Nicely manicured hands. Have you ever worked as a hand model for watches, etc.?
I haven't, no...
Do you think patterns like this would be as efrective without the eyes?
I think they'd still work. I like the eyes, but it's probably more for my confidence than anything else
