I just wanna say great videos!!! This is exactly what ive been looking for. Im trying to revive a 2001 bmw m3, its definitely a project. One thing after another. I did the front suspension. Currently swapping out master cylinder. My next is going to be the rear subframe. I can head a loud thud from behind the rear right seat. Could you possible give me the info of what you are using and where you purchased the plates and everything? Thanks a million!!!

These are the CMP plates: cmpautoengineering.com/collections/bmw-e46/products/e46-subframe-racp-reinforcement-plate-kit Their instructions call for welding. I am using their plates against their recommendations. Having said that, structural epoxy makes a lot of sense to me.
I don't like loud thud. It could be the subframe, but it could be one of many things too. You may want to examine with the subframe on and see if there is obvious RACP damage. Often times however, such as in my case, a fractures was not obvious until I brought down the subframe and cleaned up the RACP thoroughly.
