I had a cockatiel that was the same, What Id do is take it out every day for a while and pet it on it's chest(with gloves because Id bite me hard!). Later on I didn't have to use gloves anymore, you will know when to do this when your parroty does not hessitate to escape or bite. You can start practicing by putting on both gloves then after more confidence.... only grab him with 1 glove and pet him/her with other hand. Then you will be seeing progress and start taking more risk(no gloves)
How do I tell the difference between males and females? I have one that looks like the one in the video and another with red tipped yellow feathers down its back. And when I play these videos of other rosellas singing the red tipped bird starts chirping and singing too.
Hi, can u please help me? I have rossela lutino for 5-6 months and he is still afraid of everything. When i open the cage to put him food he is on the other side of the cage standing still, not moving all scared :\ And i don't know what to do about his claws, they are very long and he cannot climb on the cage sides anymore, his claws are stuck on the racks...plus, no vet in my town wants to cut them short because of the risk of cutting his nerves and bleeding. Waiting for your answer... thanks.
