I get what youre saying brotha, im a Z Rank, highest rated Goten on PS5, and he 100% cheesed, just because hes bad at the game, doesnt mean his intention wasnt to use OP characters with insta sparking... nontheless its a mechanic that you have to learn to counter, be thankful he threw hands, as you get higher in rank, they tend to stay back, be more defensive and ki blast alot more, 10x more frustrating to deal with than a square spamming insta-sparker

Cheesing? This is what's considered cheesing now? You can prevent instant sparks unless your opponent sets it up properly, which they didn't most of the time... I'm just S rank in dp battles but that is probably least cheesy fight I've seen. Your opponent is in very disadvantageous position by playing just two characters, even if they are strong.

A major tip I think you need is to actually pay attention to if you have ki advantage or not. As a kid buu main I always make sure to have more ki than my opponent due to my easy counter able moves. And since super counter is so spammable it always helps
@ also more tips, you shouldn’t be going on the aggressive when someone has sparking mode. Be defensive and knock them away with quick combos. Also you need to cover your dragon dashes with Charged ki blasts. I’m in S2 so if you learn these you’ll climb a lot faster. Or you could learn the hard way when you fight people with a brain

Try ascending dash as soon as you see them dragon dash on you and they are sparkling, you might be able to break the lock on and get out in time. If it’s not a explosion special lol

There’s a bug where if you side step close to your opponent you will just stay in front of them. It fucks me over every time cause there’s combo potential with side stepping but I go nowhere sometimes

If you want to prevent ults try using characters with shield abilities. Like the androids, and if your really desperate gogeta blue he has instant transmission and shield ability you can use both skills to avoid ults. Use any Gokus with instant transmission to keep a eye on the enemy

I was the FIRST to hit Z rank on pc. And I have nearly 1k wins on him.
