    I'm not used to comment on videos but, man, this is a great video you made. The process of clicking those parts of colors to get the image you want, I thought I was the only one struggling with that. I know the video is like a year old but I hope you resolved the job problem.
    P.D.: I thought I wouldn't understand you due the accent but I did. :)

    I don't know if you can do this on GIMP, but on photoshop you can select by colour. That would really help removing the red bar from the bottom while keeping the web in tact.

    • @iamthomasjudge
      @iamthomasjudge  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That may well be a thing! It sounds like a sensible feature, so it might be in there somewhere. Unfortunately I'm still a beginner at this...

      You can use the water dropper tool and then select by that color and change it. Not sure if you can select and then immediately delete from eye dropper though...good experiment

    Thanks for the informative video. I’m stuck using Pixlr, but the cloning/ stamping tool is similar and extremely useful. It may be a bit confusing when I get to resizing, as inches or metric do not seem to be an option, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out. Do you intend to show us all the skills need to make parts of the DJ, then how to assemble them into one piece? How about a video on spines or connecting spines? Thanks again!

      Yep, will be continuing this series once I finish my current series of vids (I'm watching the entire MCU in 22 days...)

    You can get textless covers from certain sources so you won't need to clean anything

    • @iamthomasjudge
      @iamthomasjudge  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True, those are called 'virgin' variants but not everyone can get them. Good to know how to clean stuff up just in case! :)

    They need to make SS an omni. Decent story and thirty something issues, it's perfect for an omni.

      Actually, I'm not sure I 100% agree. I'm doing a map of Slotts entire run, and there is some weird double dipping and orphaned crossovers with spidergwen, spiderwoman, and spider verse... Was thinking of maybe doing a vid on it, and then getting all my OHC rebound so they make sense...
      Would you be interested in a vid on that? It's a different perspective at least!

    Really enjoying this series, many thanks.
    Personally I'm looking to fix the hideous Frank Miller Daredevil omni covers. The original versions were great but the new ones just don't fit in (and they are smaller, so re-sizing the spine might be a challenge).

      @himanshuborah117 there is literally a video on my channel covering every comic format size, accurate to the millimetre.

    Could you speak a little about exporting (sorry if you already covered it I’ve watched a few times and could it find an easy answer) and everyone says 300 dpi is fine for graphic covers but another youtuber did their custom bind and it’s quite fuzzy and they said they used 300 dpi. I’m tempted to use 600 but is that just in excess?? Thanks! Great vids man as always. I wanna show you my progress but got no social media haha

    • @iamthomasjudge
      @iamthomasjudge  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, literally just saw this comment! In terms of exporting, it's literally a single button press in GIMP. In terms of resolution, you're going to hate this but... I use 144 dpi! A higher resolution has negligible quality improvement in my opinion, but the memory requirements to do anything with those files becomes INSANE.
