Just as the generations before us, we have witnessed the dangers of straying away from worshipping You and turning to idols. We don't want to repeat the mistakes of the children of Israel, who departed from their devotion to You. In the times when the generation needed judges, even they fell into the trap of idol worship. Oh Lord, we long for a different path. We desire to be filled with Your presence, to be consumed by a hunger and thirst for You, Jesus Christ. We yearn for a revival that will ignite our hearts and draw us closer to You. I am reminded of the words in Psalm 42:1-2: "As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?" Lord, just as the deer longs for water, we long for You. We want to encounter You in a profound and intimate way. Holy Spirit, we invite You to come and dwell within us. Guide us, empower us, and lead us on this journey of faith. Fill us with Your divine wisdom, love, and understanding.
