      Thanks for the support AK! I like sharing these videos.
      Keep oil in that VK and you might never have to see the wrong end of the engine. Haha

    My problem is I have to take off the fuel injectors, Do I just need o-ring or do I need the caps that go on the end of the fuel injectors as well? Thanks for your vids by the way.

      It depends on how damaged they come off. Usually the O-ring is reusable, the little cap might be brittle. Use a liberal amount of wd40 before & during removal.
      I think you can remove the manifold with injectors still installed. Look into that

      @@EdBwoy FSM says I can't. And last week when I tried to remove the bolts for the manifold, they were blocked by the fuel rail. So fuel rail has to come out they say. Also in your vids with the manifold removed I noticed fuel rail is removed from the manifold as well, Uh! So you just usually reuse the fuel injector o-rings?

      @@liblib89 never a good idea to re-use gaskets, seals, or o-rings. Unless it states it is re-usable such as ford oil pan gaskets... You're there, just do em... Use some die electric grease to lube o-rings for ease of install... Also dab this grease on all electrical connections while you're there to prevent electrolysis - can cause some unfriendly electrical nightmares when connections get all corroded..😉

      @@liblib89 I mainly remove the injectors to deep clean everything, but with a good tool selection you can get around that. During removal, the o-ring & pintle cap can sometimes come off the injector. O-ring is very sturdy & I have never had a failure. The caps can break during re-installation if they didn't break as they jumped out.
      I keep a stash of Subaru/Nissan injector rebuild kits for the pintle caps mainly.

      @@EdBwoy Doesn't matter. My VK45 started knocking today. These engines have a design flaw. I'll let everyone know to avoid them.

    Ed what is the best & easiest way to tell if you have a bad engine

    • @EdBwoy
      @EdBwoy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a lot of different ways for an engine to "go bad". Oil consumption, metal in oil, knocking, overheating, loss of power etc.
      It would be easier to provide your symptoms & decide from them

      Ed not always but on start ups I see dark smoke for a few seconds and then it'll stop. Under heavy acceleration I also see the same dark smoke
