Long Healing Prayer

This prayer was revealed by Bahá'u'lláh in Arabic and translated over 100 years later into English by Habib Taherzadeh. It is often used in Bahá'í devotional gatherings to pray for loved ones in sickness and poor health.

As a youth I was a part of a teaching team that went to the Orkney Islands at the end of the 9 Year Plan of our beloved UHJ in 1972 July 14th to 30th to be precise. We met the Mehrabi family, Daroosh, Jackie and their three children Pari Vallum and Pari. All angels from the Abha paradise.

I cannot express what it means to hear these verses spoken in an accent from the north islands, without music other than the rhythm and inflection of the words and the waves softly in the background. It is medicine.
This specific recording was a comfort to my wife in her last year. We would start it and put it on loop and it was a comfort and blessing for her through her nights. No other version of this prayer could do what this one from Orkney could do.
Now, I use it and it carries my soul.

This is the prayer mentioned by Shoghi Effendi as having special potency.Although this wasn’t in our prayer books until 1980 ,the Research Dept of the House of Justice confirmed that this ,as mentioned within the Prayer has special potency and can be considered as the prayer referred to by Shoghi Effendi as well as the short Healing prayer taken from the Tablet of Medicine revealed by Baha’u’llah..
So again no dichotomy.Just double and wider bounties for all who use them other than any argument or debate
