No need to mention it 💪🏻 I am very much looking forward to seeing what else Heusinkveld bring to the sim racing table in the future. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Ultimately it doesn't matter how many times you say ultimate, as long as the viewer is ultimately happy with your review of the Husinkfelt/Whosenfeld/whocareswhattheyre called ultimate pedals. As long as you can squeeze the peach without popping it, all is 👍
Thank you for the review. I have Fanatec V3 pedals that developed gas pedal issue. During disassembly most of the aluminium threads got reaped to pieces (even for finger tight bolts that are supposed to be removable) and pedals are clearly not made to be disassembled more that once. I was lucky as I had 1 week left on my warranty so I could send them in. I try now to sell my new V3 set and I probably replace it with Huskeld.... Hueskenveld... well, THOSE pedals :D
You are very welcome! I did this exact upgrade, although mine were the inverted. Not much difference I think. The Heusinkveld pedals are in a different league. I think you will be very happy with the upgrade path to the Hoosekvelden pedals 😉 Let me know what you think of them if you choose to get them 👍🏻
Great video. I have sprints. They are virtually identical apart from the brake strength. I have mine set at 65kg. I picked the sprints because this hobby is meant to be fun. 140kg is a real difference in how much harder you have to push to get 100% I’ve tried pedals with that amount of pressure and it wasn’t long before my leg started to hurt.
Thanks a lot mate! Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻 I am glad to hear you are enjoying your Sprints, they also look like a great set of pedals 💪🏻 How long have you been driving with them for?
No they definitely aren’t identical at all. All the ultimate preform way better and have way better software. The sprints aren’t even good they use to be. But simagic p1000 are nicer or even moza new pedals
I just bought a pair to upgrade my Sprints and they are incredible. The only way I can describe the brake is that it’s so precise that it’s like a scalpel. Also, the dampers really seem to smooth out my pedal motions. I tried the softer elastomers on the brake initially but went back to the firm ones just like the out of the box set up. I have mine at 40 kg max but I race in socks.
Welcome to the club 💪🏻 I am also enjoying the surgical references 😏👨🏼⚕️🔪 You can set these pretty much up as you like, I think it would be difficult to find someone massively unhappy with these. Why did you upgrade your Sprints out of curiosity?
@@MadMike991 this is great to read as I just upgraded to the ultimates from the old Heusinkv. Pros... and the sprints are already a massive step up from the pros... cant wait for my ultimates to arrive!
@@TraumaTeamRacing Well the long story is I got a really good deal on an open box set of the Sim Lab XP1 pedals on eBay. I had wanted to try them but was very disappointed with them. Then I just figured I could resell them for more than I paid and sell my Sprints and use that towards the Ultimates. And I found a good deal on the two pedal Ultimates, Trak Racer had them in the US for $969. But they are DEFINITELY an upgrade from the Sprints despite how good the Sprints already are. I’m keeping eBay in business with all of my reselling for upgrades!
@@MadMike991 How come you were disappointed with the Sim-Lab XP1 set? I have not tried any of Sim-Labs pedals or peripherals, I only have their rig. Sounds like you have been on quite the journey, but ultimately 😉 ended up at the right place 💪🏻
Just a heads up. You're supposed to mount the controller box underneath base plate. There's four pre-drilled slots underneath the base plate. These four pre-drilled holes are very tiny so they're very easy to miss. Reason why they're made for the controller box. I also have a P1X. Makes everything look much cleaner as well. Edit. Thinking about it, I don't think you have the Heusinkveld base plate so never mind. 😊
Great vid. What's the noise level like on the throttle when being used? I know some pedals are quite loud when the spring is uncompressing, would be keen to get these if they are fairly quiet in use
Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻 Noise level is fine. I would not describe these as loud at all. I think these are an excellent set of pedals and worthy of consideration.
I will preface the following comment with I have never used the Asetek Forte pedals, in fact no Asetek pedals at all. However, just judging from an adjustability point of view these appear to be in different leagues. The price points are not comparable. As an intermediate pedal, which I think these are aimed at, I think these would be worth considering. However, for an end game pedal, I think there are others that should included in the conversation. However, I could get my feet on these and be blown away, so who knows? Hope that helps 👍🏻
@@PaulGSimGolfandRacing I would be interested to hear your thoughts? Why the Forte and not the Invicta? What are you lacking in these at present that makes you consider upgrading?
I just do not like there brakes. I've driven eeal gt3 ans gt4 cars and this whole harder brake stuff is false. It should have some nice mush and travel to it to help with trail braking and for me I can't get used to brakes like this or asetek brakes. My bmw gt3 car brake is what I like to go by so I setup pedals like vrs and or p1000s with a bit of travel not 200kg because mo real car brake feels like that to me unless you are in an f1 car. Regardless if you like them then awesome they are good pedals but I just want people to realize that harder brakes do not mean more realistic. I think everybody who ends up driving a real gt3 or gt4 car end up getting very surprised by the amount of teavle they and instead of a sales pitch made by a som racing brand and it stuck and others followed. Im happy to see active pedals and other things come out with a real brake feel and hydraulics etc which have some travle mush and progressive feel to them. Yes there is such thing as to much travel but these brakes from them have always left me confused because it feels like an f2 brake.
Alrighty, lets unpick this 😅 I have also driven fast cars and the pedal feel can vary depending on set up and car. Some are harder, some are softer. Some have more travel, some don't. I think this is a fair comment. These pedals won't be for everyone, have you had these yourself for a length of time? You don't have to have these set up at 200Kg (140Kg if applicable force) and I think most wouldn't. You can also switch to soft elastomers for a softer feel and also increase the brake travel? Did you try this with these? I also think an F2 has an average brake travel of around 1cm. You can set these up like that, but you can also set them up very differently. What pedals are you using currently?
@@TraumaTeamRacing my point really was ive yet to drive a single gt3 or gt4 car with a brick wall for a brake. F1 and f2 styles are brick walls due to the speed and g forces created to transfer said forces through and stop a car much faster thats going much faster. But ive drove alot of gt3 and gt4 cars not a single one has ever felt like aseteks brake or these brakes stock. Thats all I'm saying. Now if you like the modulation and consistency you get from it then awesome but its not like a single brake pedal ive felt. It doesnt have any of the hydraulic mush and or compression at the first phase of braking and it doesnt have the pre travel they usually do. Then you can push them deeper as you brake. This doesn't modulate that very well nor does asetek and a few others. Which is probably why simucube spent so much time with there active pedals and others even with professional gt3 presets which guess what have a good bit of travel and progressive feel. But even with what you stated still proves what I was saying about sim racing brands sales pitches for brakes early on with load cells is false. Because they made it seem and stated it's as real as it gets its like a real gt3 brake and peolle ran with it. Luckily we are getting out of that phase now due to more and more real drivers helping. There sales pitches were clearly lies because as you stated we have all sorts of different brakes. But really I stick to my guns on aseteks brake its horrible it reminds me of an f2 or f1 car it's so still that its blowing out people's knees because they can't reach its maximum. They could have at least made it 100kg to help hit it easier. Instead of making people have to brake so hard. You can adjust it but its still one of the biggest complaints of any pedals ive ever seen.
@reviewforthetube6485 You didn't really answer the questions I asked you. I can get these set up pretty close and how I like, considering these are load cell and not hydraulic. Can you review the questions I asked in my prior comment please.
@TraumaTeamRacing well it's nice to see you can now adjust the elasomters do they send with more now? If so that def changes alot. Also I notice they have a little spring at the end for a little preload which is nice. I mean maybe that's why the + is better? Idk but yeah if you actually have the parts and pieces and they give it to you now then awesome. And yes turning it down to 140kg is nice they still need to be able to do 70 to 90kg also ive found most professional sim racers i talk to enjoy that range but can you reduce sensitivity now? Like can you change the brake pressure % in software? Im using the p1000s at the moment with the hydraulic upgrade. Def not like a real hydrauloc car but helps the initial feel. I use the red and yellow spring with it. It sits around 75kg for me. I can modulate it and use my memory for braking instead if only purely basing it off of pure stopping power. Which is how I do in a real car I can modulate pretty well. My favorite none active pedals are vrs and simagic. The p2000s may be the most perfect throttle and brake ive ever used out of the box and tbh sometimes I regret not going with that. Has a more realistic hydraulic feel to it also.
