Also to me it sounds like the verse goes |-5--5--3-3-3-|-2--2--1---3-|-5------.... rather than |-5--5--3-3-3-|-2--2--1-1-3-|-5--5---.... (could just be it's drowned out in the mix though), but who cares really? Unless you're playing in front of an audience of nitpicking bass players who know the song by heart, who's going to notice or care? For all intents and purposes this is the bassline and if you want to make it more interesting that's up to you. ;)
