    We have lost one of the greatest artist of Karnatik music. I would have heard this madyamawathi, the mangala raga over fee hundred times

    Well , U.Srinivas is a dream now.....so mellifluous , so soothing and
    the lilt and melody in his play of Mandolin will never be seen or heard again...

    Brings tears. Such grace, such poise. But I must say the violin artist also equally matches the grace of the great Srinivas ji. Amazing duet. Two foreign instruments in carnatic have brought a great fusion.

      Prashanth Raghu as you said tears flow from the eyes sir. Everyday I hear this raga. He is a genius. We rasikas miss him lot playing. His music will remain forever.

    INDIA has lost a renowned Mandolin player and I think nobody else has substituted him so far

      none can substitute him as for as madhyamavathy is concerned! that too in lower octaves, he is the king!
