@@beanodonnellWhat country are you referring to when you said you hand it worse? I recognize that the women of many many countries have had it worse than American women in the depression and the wars that followed.

I'm well preserved due to all the McDonald's I've ate growing up. My body will be discovered like a vampire out of a coffin, just wanting a cup of coffee.
This has been discussed a lot. The answer is twofold. 1.) People back then smoked and didn't use sunscreen. 2.) People back then wore clothing styles that WE see as "old" so we perceive them as older because they wore the same styles well into their golden years.
If you look at touched up pics of the time, they look just as young as we do with filters. Because in real life, with real harsh lighting and no hiding behind technology, we don't really look that much younger. Our jowls sag, our skin wrinkles and our hairline is receding. Maybe some of us have some botox or other work done, a very few lucky ones have good genes, but that's about it. Too much make-up, too much gunk in our hair, too much unhealthy food, not enough fresh air. Many for decades on hormones (first birth control then menopause), an estimated 1/4 on medication for mental health, and even more desperately unhappy and depressed. I do agree with your second point, though. And in another couple of decades, we will look just as aged to the next generation.
Using sunscreen is way worse for you than smoking is. They used to have real tobacco back in the day. This additive filled garbage we have now isn't the same as they had. Also what world is this lady talking? She looks horrible
I disagree with the second part, namely because when younger people wear "older" clothes either for cos play or for a period piece movie/show, they still look like young people in dated fashion.
@@brendastolecki4755people still smoke and drink. Especially models from 10-20 years ago, even supermodels. Nowadays they have face filters, plastic surgery, photoshop, makeup artist. Even most 46 y old celebrities look like sh*t in real life (bare face, unmade hair, no filters)
Maybe she'd been a front line nurse. I know a few and yeah, they age faster. As a little girl I lived next to an old, white haired gentleman who walked with crutches. In my thirties I found out he'd spent WWII in a concentration camp and he'd been only 36 at the time I knew him..
I had to laugh at this. A couple of days ago I'm walking down my street and notice that the house with the huge tree just sold. My first thought was, "I wonder if I can climb that before the new folks move in."
@U_N_Owen beat me to it, though europe still drinks and smokes quite a lot, so I'm convinced that overall nutrition and total toxins in the environment play a role, don't forget these folks were huffing leaded gasoline exhaust fumes and using radioactive dishes 😅
But I chain smoked for 20 years AND had a drinking problem. I'm 48 and don't have a line on my face. But I don't have kids and I've worn sunblock every day since I was 17. That HAS to be it.
😂😂 The lady in the yellow turtleneck looked way younger than the rest. She is so naturally Beautiful!! And you are too!! Adorable!!! You reminded me of my good friend; could be their sister. LOVE this!!! 😘
Gen X had decades of wonderful music growing up, thus we were happier and that I believed made the aging process a lot slower for us. I'm hitting 50 but I'd often get mistaken for early 30s. Good genes, better food intake, better skincare range, no smoking and alcohol comes into play too but basically we had great music to fall back on..basically our souls were enriched. That was our secret fountain of youth..❤
Alot of us didn't get better jobs until our (they sent most of the jobs overseas when we were in college) 30s also and had more controlling parents trying to keep us as kids.So we have more of a youthful personality b/c we never felt like we were our own person. Some of us did a lot of rebellion against the controlling parents as adults. So they kept us kids somewhat and kiddie like. So we're a combination of very adult like, very wild like and very nieve and goofy like.

...and in yearbooks today the kids all look like they are 14! Maybe we should glue ourselves to video games. They must be on to something
I think people just matured faster back then. They were expected to take on adult type responsibilities at an early age. It showed in how they looked, dressed, and acted.
Real puberty, hormones, there are pros and cons to it, as opposed to now, not the same development.
lighting is everything... and strong makeup (sharpie eyebrows) makes many look older
And strangely, magic marker eyebrows have come back into style among certain groups
I'm well preserved due to all the McDonald's I've ate growing up.
My body will be discovered like a vampire out of a coffin, just wanting a cup of coffee.
Best comment 😂
hilarious!
You mean a mccafe! Lol
And don't forget we were raised on WonderBread!
I am not ashamed to say I love Wonder Bread!! LOL
I laughed way too hard at your hair at the end! 😂 holy crap dude!
The deadpan look at the end 💀😂😂
💜 your a great friend…thx for taking one for the team. I can see by your research that it indeed is the fault of the roller set.
No bro its the filter
Say some people, because my people don’t have this problem😂
Using sunscreen is way worse for you than smoking is. They used to have real tobacco back in the day. This additive filled garbage we have now isn't the same as they had.
Also what world is this lady talking? She looks horrible
I disagree with the second part, namely because when younger people wear "older" clothes either for cos play or for a period piece movie/show, they still look like young people in dated fashion.
😂😂😂😂 the way she delivers the line at the end ❤😂😂😂😂😂😂
Knowing that smoking was actually toxic to your health, and aged you far faster than sun exposure.
Totally agree. I was at an airport recently following a single smoker walking outdoors for 2 minutes and it was sickening at how toxic that was.
@@CaptainQueuewait till you have to live downwind from a meat packing plant and downriver from a sewage treatment plant
AND DRINKING...that's booze and cigarettes. Some people's skin actually turns gray!
Plus thry had no photoshop and filters. Or plastic surgery. You should see what celebrities look like in real life at 46
@@brendastolecki4755people still smoke and drink. Especially models from 10-20 years ago, even supermodels. Nowadays they have face filters, plastic surgery, photoshop, makeup artist. Even most 46 y old celebrities look like sh*t in real life (bare face, unmade hair, no filters)
Oh dang!! 😂😂😂 That is total CONFIRMATION right there! Lol
I scream-laughed when I saw you in the roller set! 😂
As did I. 😂😂😂
She did more than change her hair, I guess it's a joke.
And the redone shitty make up lol
They all had harder lives than we do!!😢
I came to say I cracked up and scared the dog awake 😆
Gurl 😂 stop. Attacking ME
I felt it 😂
"This lady in the green, I don't know if she has had a hard life" That got me... just the way she said it!
That lady in green more likely then not lived through two world wars and the Great Depression sooooo
Maybe she'd been a front line nurse. I know a few and yeah, they age faster.
As a little girl I lived next to an old, white haired gentleman who walked with crutches. In my thirties I found out he'd spent WWII in a concentration camp and he'd been only 36 at the time I knew him..
Also, God don't like ugly.
🤣😂😂
Shhhhh. She might read this, she’s only 101.
It's the preservatives in all the junk we ate. It also helps that we still climb trees.🤣
I had to laugh at this. A couple of days ago I'm walking down my street and notice that the house with the huge tree just sold. My first thought was, "I wonder if I can climb that before the new folks move in."
@@daverhoden445 do it! Give the neighbors something to talk about.😜
I don't climb trees anymore. But I sure would.
My knees stopped my tree climbing before I even got to high school. That's why I may walk 51 but don't look at otherwise.
Dyslexia helps. I'm only 15.
@@1Immortalmortal I was diagnosed with dyslexia in 6th grade. I still can't spell or figure out how I got my answers in algebra.🤣
I wasn’t expecting that ending. Hilarious😂😂
That provided the best laugh of the day!! Thank you for that!!
I laughed way too hard at your face at the end of the video 😂 thank you 😂😂
Dressing/styling can definitely date a person!!! Such a good example!
Ive wondered this for a long time, too. And concluded it is, indeed, the hairstyle.
You’re frick’n hilarious!!!! That’s a trip though 😂 say no to rollers and makeup!!!!
Omg, the dramatic difference. I love you for it.
Her skin still looks WAY better, it’s the chain-smoking.
And martinis for lunch and dinner.
@U_N_Owen beat me to it, though europe still drinks and smokes quite a lot, so I'm convinced that overall nutrition and total toxins in the environment play a role, don't forget these folks were huffing leaded gasoline exhaust fumes and using radioactive dishes 😅
I'm thinking cuz they all had 4-6 kids instead of 2-3?
But I chain smoked for 20 years AND had a drinking problem. I'm 48 and don't have a line on my face. But I don't have kids and I've worn sunblock every day since I was 17. That HAS to be it.
Dehydration ages people. I've smoked my entire life and look younger than people who've never smoked
😂😂😂 THANK YOU FOR THIS !! I’m crying from laughing so hard at the end of this video !! Your face was perfection!
I just about busted when she came back! The look of despair and the hair and makeup 🤌
😂😂 The lady in the yellow turtleneck looked way younger than the rest. She is so naturally Beautiful!! And you are too!! Adorable!!! You reminded me of my good friend; could be their sister. LOVE this!!! 😘
She might be just joined the 40s club.

No, am just being respectful
Lmaoooo I was just choking bc I laughed so hard. She is hilarious. Haha

I CACKLING!! 🤣🤣🤣 I wasn’t expecting THAT drastic of a change!
I hollered!!!! Makeup and hair makes a difference for some people lol
Me too... she looked so much older! It gives me faith!
I laughed like crazy - best video and delivery ever!
Omg I laughed at your roller set results. You’ve unlocked it. 😂
I’m roaring!!!! The eyebrows 😂😂😂😂

😂😂😂😂😂❤😅🎉
😂😂😂
Hahahahahahahaha😂
😂😂😂 That was hilarious! I keep watching this, and I laugh every time.
I’m 59, and you’re right, we had awesome, happy music! We are the Just Say No, Stranger Danger, rule-followers. It seems like many of the boomers are angry, combative, and attention-seeking. Not all; but many. My mother and ex husband are boomers, but they are exceptions, and I know there are plenty more exceptions, but that kind of attitude is stressful and causes all sorts of aging and health issues.
Lolol I wasn't rdy for the expression on face at end 😂😂
This literally had me laughing out loud. Well done, friend 😅
I CANNOT!!!😂 I didn't expect her to do that 😂😂
😂🤣😂🤣 I love that you tested it!!!
Hilarious!
😂😂😂😂
Lol I repeated the transition scene a few times 😂😂 she’s using a filter
The lady in the blue! Dang! I thought this was a crap video but dang girl you nailed it!💯👍👏👏👏👏
