I am surprised that no one made reference to or complained to the woman for mistreating a child, which was also not hers. It's not that it justifies mistreating the child if it were her child, it just makes it worse, and shows the moral character that she has.
The fact that Min Hui proudly brought her son to the party, properly and formally attired, shows her confidence that her son will not bring embarrassment to her. He was raised well. Even Mr Gao acknowledged that, but Lin Xiyue is shameless to bring an innocent child's upbringing to the fold, like it's everyone's business to know the child's parental background. Min had to cover her son's ears while Xiyue went on and on with her spiel. Xin Qi is right to put LinXiyue in place...she and Cheng Qirang are despicable.

She found her son and used him, again, to her bigger loss, since Qin Xi stepped forward. 😁😁😁😁😁
