I made this & it technically works but don't expect magic from the lenses, the best way I can describe the experience of using this is it's like using an oculus or gear VR while drunk.

Where are the templates to be printed for the cut-out?
too bad I don't have a syringe, or a hot glue gun
Warm a glue gun stick in a container, stir and apply with a old tiny brush or something
u don't need it u can use a lighter to seal it up and use the pen cartridge to blow in the water

you could heat the end of a flat head, you have a shoebox somewhere in your home, you have an empty bottle too don't deny it, water bill Really 1.5oz of water is that expensive, phone let's face it it's 2016 you have a phone, you can get a syringe for $0.50 minimum which is the only thing that would cost money and you do have 2 quarters somewhere.
u already have those things around ur house, plus u can improvise instead of using a hot glue gun u can use crazy glue or school glue and for the syringe u can use the cartridge from pen, and for the soldering iron u can use a lighter to seal up the part where u put the water

For the price of a decent soldering iron (I mean one that isn't a badly wired deathtrap) you could just buy an official cardboard
You can use something like quick drying epoxy or some strong and quick dry glue to stick the lenses together instead.
Or a fucking knife/needle/pin/fork or anything thin and made of metal that you heat with a stove, a match or a lighter
I'm not complaining about it because I can't do it or anything, I already have a bobovr z4

I don't even have an Internet connection, so I've no idea how I even saw this video in the first place.
Does the template have an outline? Couldn't you compare the outline of the template with a sheet of regular paper to get the measurements? In fact I know of a rough way to copy images on a computer screen onto paper. It's a pretty advanced technique that I learned many years back. You might have heard of it, it's what us professionals call: tracing.

I'm wondering... How do you make the vr video actually turning when u turn ur head? Like, idk how it is in a real vr goggle, but when u just put your eyes close to your screen like it would be in cardboard and watch a vr youtube video, the view deffinitely does not turn with your every move

Glue,scissors and plastic bottles you can get anywhere and a pencil to draw elements of cardboard (pencil is from IKEA and in IKEA pencils are free ) done!
