3.1 available. Update ReaPack! List of ALL the supported sites github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/blob/master/supportedsites.md NOTE: this system is available ONLY for 64 bit systems. yt-dlp is installed by the script. Forget your one because the script will use ONLY the one downloaded (and always updated) by itself. No interference with anything pre-existing.
My fault! I discovered it now. A missed line into the xml ... please try to refresh ReaPack and see if you got it now. If it shows up and it's not installed: install it. If it is already installed: re-install it.
Pretty cool. Got a couple of questions: What if you already have yt-dlp installed? How does this script react to that? Also, can this script import audio only as you can with yt-dlp in the command line (by using the appropriate parameters - usually "-f 140")? Thanks.
When I use your script, I get an error message in the command line window saying that ffmpeg is not found. This means that yt-dlp cannot download or process optimized versions of videos or audio because it relies on ffmpeg for transcoding and conversion. How can I resolve this?
I think is Reaper that’s relying on ffmpeg. yt-dlp is autonomous. FFMPEG are required for particular uses that are not about the average use of this script. hence this script di per se doesn't need ffmpeg. Reaper, instead needs them. And if you are under Linux MINT or Debian, there are issues with current Reper's FFMPEG. There is a post somewhere into the official forum.
@@Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials Thanks for your response. When ripping a TH-cam video with your script, it goes super fast, but the quality is much lower than the original. It looks like a low-res version. Is there anything that can be done about this?
Did you install the 3.1 of my script? Because as for any other script, it's in constant update and development. The 3.1 downloads the original resolution of the video.
@@Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials I already updated to version -- 3.1 2024-11-21. When I download a video, I notice a significant degradation in quality compared to the original. To be sure, I checked my project settings, which are set to 1920x1080, PAL 50Hz. In my video preview, the image looks lower quality, and even after exporting, it’s not as good as the original.
Length: 8:28.145 Video: 640x360@25.00fps, Aspect=1.00, Decoding format=I420/YV12 Audio: 22050Hz 2ch 16bps The download is indeed low-res instead of HD 1920x1080.

That's very useful 👍
So very very useful. Thanks. Drink payment on it's way. Have you mentioned this on the reaper forums?
Thank you so much Henry. Yes I mentioned it on Cockos forum :-) please here the link forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=296132
I got you on my facebook page group

Thanks.
it ignores it. The system works only on its own files. And this script is studied only to import full videos. This is the requirement.
Wow great for Karaoke videos.
Indeed :-)
My browser package is fully installed when I type in your name or utility nothing shows up. I own reaper 7.27 mac
it is available only for 64 bit systems ... I will write it into the pinned comment. Thank you for the highlight.
