Robin possesses an artistry that other loopers lack. He may not be the most technically proficient (though IMO he has an argument for that too), but you cannot deny that both his creativity and the soul that he puts into his music are unmatched.
He is one of the most technically looper ever. His GBB 2017 wildacard is an example. The problem with Robin before was he always made technically first round, which is very hard to hear ( for me ) and musically and technically second round, which is very satisfying each time. But now Robin changing to his best version and he made 2 rounds with musically and technically. He is unstoppable now, but I miss the intensify of old Robin. He should bring it back and nobody can have bad opinion on him.

I love robin! But here’s my opinion. He’s a master at his craft. But he lacks battling power imo. While his rounds are near damn perfect, I feel as he should sometimes attack in more so it creates a battle like style . His rounds sounds more like showcase performances. Anyways If he adds that he’d never lose .
yeah that's more or so been the problem with looping as of recently imo, there's not much battle aspect, the only ones who showed some sort of battle was bizkit, brez, and josh-o somewhat. i think a good counter i would personally say is "it's called a beatbox battle, not a beatbox showcase" and then come out with a battle round lmao. don't get me wrong i'm all for the musical aspect, without it, looping would not be good but i partially feel the producer category was more or so made for musical pieces in mind like robin

The tradeoff of having no seeding rounds is you get quarter final rounds that are able to be battle rounds since opponents know their placement and opponent months in advance, it also removes the unnecessary purchase of a GBB ticket and time wasted to see if you have a CHANCE to compete. Like imagine spending thousands of dollars and hours and you don’t make it past seeding. Bad part of this though is that the event itself seems to minimal. Look at GBB21, 18 loopers and like 40 solo beatboxers, it’s absurd
I don't wanna be that guy, but I was kinda disappointed by this year's loop competition. Robin's style was pretty repetitive and at some times: boring. The build up and transitions on some of his tracks (esp in the semis) was lacking or non-existent. I love his voice and melodies, but they were just too basic and not fresh enough. His songs just drag too much. His first 2 rounds were nice though and cool to see him win after years of battles
I was rooting for Bizkit but tbh I can see myself choosing Robins song in my playlist . It was proper and professional. Professional trumps Skill usually

For me the most repetitive rounds were during semis as well. The finals were his wildcards, but still hit hard since they were good before and live was done perfectly. I do agree however I enjoyed robins rounds more in 2021 or during kbb than this gbb.
